The Voice: Bryan Olesen, 50, wins Instant Save and gives coach John Legend two singers in season 25 finale
Bryan Olesen was immediately saved by voters on Tuesday’s live episode of The Voice, which saw four singers eliminated ahead of next week’s season finale on NBC.
The 50-year-old Hartford, Connecticut, native, known for his involvement with prominent Christian bands, finished in the bottom five after the top nine performed on Monday’s episode.
Bryan won the Instant Save after releasing the Coldplay song Viva la Vida and competed in the final after being supported by his coach John Legend, 45, throughout season 25.
John got out of his red chair and danced around as presenter Carson Daly, 50, announced Bryan was the winner and also applauded him.
Bryan offered hugs to the four singers who were eliminated after also finishing in the bottom five and being forced to sing live during the Instant Save to advance.

Serenity Arce, Tae Lewis, Madison Curbelo and Maddi Jane were eliminated.
Bryan gave his coach John two performers in the finals for the first time in his nine seasons as a coach.
John’s ‘retro soul singer’ Nathan Chester, 28, from Chicago, previously advanced to the final during the hour-long results episode.
Chance The Rapper, 31, opened the show with a visually stunning performance of his new single Together.
Brazilian signer Anitta, 31, also performed a medley of her songs “Ahí” and “Lose Ya Breath” during the episode.
Carson revealed for the first time that new coaches Dan + Shay had a stake in the finals when their singer Karen Waldrup, 37, from Mandeville, Louisiana, advanced.
Reba McEntire, 69, also heard that her singer Josh Sanders, 36, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, made it to the finals.
The Queen of Country got her second singer in the finals when Asher HaVon, 32, of Selma, Alabama, was announced as the fourth finalist chosen by the public.

Serenity, 17, from Jupiter, Florida, performed first at the Instant Save, singing the Kelly Clarkson song Because Of You.
Tae, 32, from Goldsboro, North Carolina, was next, delivering a smooth rendition of Wanted by country singer Hunter Hayes.
Mohawk-haired Bryan then sang the 2008 Coldplay song and Carson told him afterward, “You sounded like the record.”
John praised Bryan for his song choice, describing his performance as “exciting” and “energetic.”
“It was in your pocket as a singer and as an artist, and I tell you every round I feel like I should be at your arena concert. And this felt like the biggest moment of all at your arena concert. And I’m so happy that I get to coach you. America, we can’t send this man home yet. We can’t send him home yet,” John said.
Madison, 22, from Westfield, Massachusetts, recorded the Michael Jackson song Man in the Mirror during the Instant Save.
Maddi, 25, from Chicago, played I’ll Never Love Again from the 2018 film A Star Is Born.
Before the Instant Save voting results were announced, Carson asked Bryan if he had anything to say to his coach John.
“John, you gave me words of encouragement and inspiration while the cameras were rolling, but you did it a lot when they weren’t. And I will never forget it. Even at my age that helps. That helps determine what I need to do. And this has been a dream. And thank you all for letting me be a part of this,” Bryan said.
John told Bryan he loved the “spirit of gratitude” he brought to the show and said he enjoyed working with him.
