The Voice Australia winner is revealed – as they take home $100,000 cash prize and recording contract: ‘That was one of the best vocals we’ve ever had on this show!’

The Voice Australia aired its grand final on Sunday night, where Tarryn Stokes was crowned the winner of the popular singing competition.

The mother-of-two, 40, couldn’t contain her shock after host Sonia Kruger, 58, told her she won a recording contract and $100,000 in cash.

“It feels amazing, going from The Blinds to being in the Grand Final and somehow believing I can do this. I thank my coach Rita Ora for believing in me,” she said.

However, Rita, 32, was having none of it and told Tarryn she had her huge success on the show to thank.

‘You did it! It’s just incredible, you are incredible, and remember this is just the beginning. I am very happy for you. Well done Australia, thank you very much,” said Rita.

Tarryn wowed the coaches and fellow finalists by performing a flawless rendition of Celine Dion’s ballad All By Self.

The judging panel couldn’t stop singing about her incredible performance, with Guy Sebastian, 41, labeling her singing “simply perfection”.

“That’s one of the best vocals that’s ever happened on this show ever,” Rita added.

Rita then took to the stage to congratulate Tarryn and join her in a rousing duet of Tina Turner’s Simply the Best.

Meanwhile, fellow grand finalists Ezra Williams, Charlie Pittman and Ethan Beckton sang their songs with gusto, narrowly losing out to Tarryn.

From the moment the blind Tarryn auditioned for the first time on the show, her coach Rita Ora hailed her as one of the best singers in the history of the singing competition.

Under Ora’s guiding mentorship, Tarryn honed her craft and achieved her dreams before the nation.
