The View’s Whoopi Goldberg reacted rather bluntly to Alyssa Farah Griffin on Tuesday when her co-host mistook her for Britney Spears during the Halloween special.
The panel transformed into some of Disney’s most memorable characters – with 67-year-old Whoopi channeling Tour Guide Barbie from the 1999 hit film Toy Story 2.
The Sister Act star showed off her legs in a blue button-up dress, matching hat, dark sunglasses and a long blonde wig, prompting Alyssa to admit: ‘I thought you were Britney Spears from the Toxic music video , which is also iconic.”
Whoopi, however, didn’t seem very impressed and sarcastically quipped, “Missed for another white woman.”

Whoopi joked that she was ‘taken for just another white woman’ after the Britney comparison
Alyssa, 34, seemed surprised by Whoopi’s comment before explaining why she chose Princess Jasmine from the 1992 film Aladdin.
“So I chose Princess Jasmine because it was one of my favorite movies growing up. I dressed up as so many different versions of Jasmine, I did a pink costume, I did the original blue one,” she explained.
The former White House aide continued, “She’s the first Arab Disney princess, I’m Lebanese and Syrian, so I thought that was great…”
Whoopi simply replied, “Cool.”
Viewers found Whoopi’s comment hilarious and also couldn’t believe how good she looked in her Barbie costume.
“Whoopi looks good in that wig!!,” one wrote, while another said, “Whoopi in this blonde wig SERVES me video ratchet!!!”
“Okurrr Whoopi show your legs!” a third viewer said, while a fourth person added: ‘Whoopi looked amazing!!!’
Elsewhere in the show, Sara Haines, 46, looked unrecognizable as she transformed into Carl Fredricksen, the old man from the 2009 film Up.
Explaining the reasoning behind her costume, the mother-of-three told her co-hosts: ‘I love a transformation and when you work with this level of design it’s so cool to let them take over. But I also love the story of Up, the heaviness of life and death, the resilience of love, it’s one of the most beautiful things.’

Sunny Hostin, 55, looked fantastic as Neytiri from the 2009 blockbuster Avatar
“And I like to play grumpy, because I’m usually not,” she added, prompting Whoopi to sarcastically respond, “Oh okay.”
Next up was Joy Behar, 81, who looked fantastic as classic Disney villain Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians.
“Well, they said Disney characters, so I’m too tall to play Jiminy Cricket and I’m also… how can I put this… experienced to play Snow White, if you know what I mean! So I chose Cruella de Vil!’ the comedian explained.
Ana Navarro, 51, channeled Mirabel from the 2021 hit Encanto and told her cohosts, “Listen, I love the movie Encanto so much. Beautiful music, it took place in Colombia. I love the idea of leading actors from Latin America and it was such a successful film that kept us singing about Bruno forever and ever.”
Then it was Sunny Hostin’s turn to reveal why she chose to transform into Neytiri from the 2009 Blockbuster Avatar, telling Whoopi, “Like Sara, I feel like we have one of the best hair and make-up teams in the world and I knew they could do that. this kind of transformation.
“And I think it’s Halloween and it’s time to be transformed, but I also think James Cameron is a transformative director. Avatar was like nothing I’d ever seen before, and I also loved the thread of the indigenous people fighting for their survival, and it’s kind of a storyline that really appealed to me,” the 56-year-old added.
Fans of The View were also treated to plenty of behind-the-scenes content on Instagram, as videos of the hosts getting to know their characters were shared.
In a hilarious clip, Joy’s dog Bernie is seen running away from her dressing room as she emerges as Cruella in a black and white coat, complete with a monochrome wig and black leather boots.
