The View’s Joy Behar, 81, says drinking a martini ‘on an empty stomach’ is the KEY to a healthy sex life – as she admits she also thinks of ‘past LOVERS’ to get herself in the mood for intimacy
The View’s Joy Behar has revealed her secret to a healthy sex life — and it doesn’t mean sleeping with ghosts, despite her past jokes about getting intimate with ghosts.
The comedian, 81, revealed how she keeps the passion alive in the bedroom, claiming all you need is an afternoon martini ‘on an empty stomach’ – and thinking of someone you ‘really want to sleep with’.
The TV host, who has been married to Steve Janowitz since 2011, also dished out dating advice to single women, urging them to ditch online apps because there is too much ‘lying’, as she joined her co-hosts on The View: Behind the Table podcast.
In response to a fan who asked how to keep the “energy high” in the bedroom, she said: “A martini on an empty stomach in the middle of the afternoon is key… and think of someone you’d love to go to with want bed!

Joy called online dating ‘the worst idea’ and said single women should go to bars to meet men and ‘get drunk’
“People say you should think of an actor, like George Clooney or something… that’s not what I do.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin, 34, asked if she thinks about “past lovers,” to which she replied, “Yes, someone I already know, not George Clooney.” Or knew…in the past.”
Asked by guest co-host Deborah Roberts if she’s ever “afraid” that she might “accidentally say their name,” Joy joked, “I’m completely alone when I do that!”
The comedian also spoke about the current dating landscape as she criticized dating apps, calling them “the worst.”
“I’m so glad I’m old because this is the worst idea I’ve ever heard of,” she said of applications like Tinder, Hinge and Bumble.
‘Online dating is the worst. Meet them in a bar, get drunk and go home with them, that’s the way to do it.
“I’d just write, ‘If you want to know more about me, take me out for a drink…'”
She added: “I don’t tell them all my belongings! No!’
Joy also had a lot to say when another viewer admitted that they were dating three different men – one who is great in bed, one who plans great dates, and one they can talk to for hours – and asked which one she should choose .
“Having the one to talk to is good for the marriage, especially after thirty years,” Joy stated.
But when her co-host Sunny Hostin, 55, reminded her that “they’re just dating,” she added, “I think the one who’s good for me in bed!”
Referring to the sex, Joy then advised, “If you don’t have it in the beginning, you’ll never have it!”

The redhead is certainly no stranger to discussing her personal life on The View, and left the judges stunned when she recently made a very spicy confession about sex.
Joy claimed that when it comes to the bedroom, it’s a matter of ‘quality’ – not quantity – as she hinted that men haven’t always been able to locate her G-spot.
Her admission came as the panel discussed actress Rachel Bilson’s recent claim that she would find it “weird” if a single man in his 40s had only slept with four women.
Whoopi Goldberg, 67, admitted she found Rachel’s comments ‘very strange’, while Joy claimed it wouldn’t bother her if her lover had only had four sexual partners.
‘If one in four can find my G-spot, I’m all in! I don’t need thousands, just make sure I get one right,” she said.
The live studio erupted in laughter at Joy’s raunchy comment, but Whoopi Goldberg, 67, was more concerned and joked, “That scares me!” Now if you don’t know where that G-spot is…’
Feeling the need to explain herself further, Joy fired back, “I know where it is! I’ll form a search party soon so they can find it!’
Joy started dating her husband Steve in 1982, but the couple didn’t tie the knot until almost thirty years later. She married her first husband, college professor Joe Behar, in 1965, but they divorced in 1981.
