The Chinandega, Nicaragua-born TV personality responded that she has “posted about (her) weight loss journey many times,” detailing the latest steps she has taken in recent years.

Ana, who was involved in the late Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, said, “I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life,” adding that “the pandemic and menopause have made it worse.”

Ana said her mother’s death in 2021 from kidney disease caused by diabetes — “She suffered terribly in the last years of her life,” she said — pushed her to become proactive in her quest for better health.

“Last August, I went with two of my friends since grade school to a wellness spa in Mexico called @rancholapuerta,” she wrote.

‘We had all turned fifty and wanted to get healthier. I spent time there learning to cook and eat healthier, reprogramming the way I think about my lifestyle and being more active. We did all kinds of exercise classes for hours a day.’

Ana said that when she and her friends returned to Miami, they were “determined to continue some of our healthy habits,” and that she “also sought professional help” in the form of a nutritionist, pilates coach, pickleball coach and medical guidance. .
