The View host Whoopi Goldberg faces OUTRAGE from fans after ‘randomly’ asking stunned co-star Alyssa Farah Griffin if she is PREGNANT live on-air – telling her she ‘had a glow’

The View host Whoopi Goldberg is facing BLASTING from fans after he ‘randomly’ asked stunned co-star Alyssa Farah Griffin if she was PREGNANT live on air – and told her she ‘had a glow’

  • Whoopi, 67, sent shockwaves through the ABC studio after popping the question
  • Alyssa, 34, was visibly stunned and insisted she is NOT pregnant
  • The host did reveal that she is ‘open to an early pregnancy’

The View’s Whoopi Goldberg left her co-stars jaws on the floor on Thursday after asking fellow panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin point-blank if she was pregnant — prompting a quick denial.

The 67-year-old presenter derailed the ABC program when she asked the bold question, which came unsolicited, in the middle of a discussion about Mitt Romney’s resignation.

A stunned Alyssa, 34, let out an audible gasp and appeared visibly shaken before quickly shutting down the speculation.

‘No! Oh my God!’ she insisted. ‘You can’t say that in front of my mother-in-law. Why? Do I look pregnant?’

“Yes,” Whoopi replied. “I just have a vibe.”

“Please don’t say it’s my stomach!” Alyssa laughed, prompting an apology from her colleague. ‘I’m very sorry’.

Sunny Hostin, 54, then asked the group if they could take bets, which gave way to Alyssa admitting that she and her husband Justin Griffin are competing to start a family together.

“I’m very open to getting pregnant soon,” she said. “I’m not blessed to be pregnant yet.”

“Forgive me,” Whoopi replied. “I see a glow.”

“I’ll take a test when I get home just to be sure,” Alyssa promised, before quickly turning the conversation back to politics.

Viewers were equally baffled by Whoopi’s outburst, with one calling the question ‘crass’.

Another wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Why the hell did Whoopi randomly ask Alyssa if she’s pregnant???”

“Not Whoopi asking Alyssa if she’s pregnant. I was gagged,” a third added.

A fourth asked: ‘Can we normalize not asking people if they are pregnant? There are several reasons why someone might not want someone to know whether or not they are pregnant.

“If people want you to know whether or not they are pregnant, they will tell you.”

Alyssa married her husband Justin in November 2021, a year after he proposed.

Members of her family, including her father and stepmother, boycotted her wedding due to her differences with Donald Trump.

Although Alyssa doesn’t have children, she revealed on the show last month that she wants to be a mother – despite previously being insecure.

“For me, marriage was…I always knew I wanted a husband,” she told viewers. ‘I was never sure I wanted children. I’ve always wanted company.’

Clarifying her comments, she continued: ‘I was a divorced child (which gave me some mixed feelings about having children), but when I met my husband I thought, “Oh, I want children too.”

‘It’s different for everyone, but I don’t like the pressure from outside. Because honestly, career matters, life…you know, moments and all those experiences you have should matter too.”

Whoopi’s pushy question comes a day after Sunny shocked her fellow panellists by revealing she once pulled out as a bridesmaid for her friend because the dress was ‘ugly’.
