The View host Ana Navarro furiously fires back at critics who slammed her for flaunting ‘extravagant’ weeks-long European vacation – insisting she paid ‘full fare’ for her travel in lengthy rant

The View’s Ana Navarro has hit back at trolls who accused her of flaunting her “expensive vacation” on social media in recent weeks.

Ana, 51, and her husband Al Cárdenas have been soaking up the sun in Europe for the past three weeks, visiting different parts of Turkey and Greece as the TV star made the most of her summer break from the ABC daytime show.

The Nicaraguan-American political strategist nonstop shares photos from their vacation on Instagram, but not everyone was positive in the comments section.

One critic told Ana she “goes on vacation a lot,” while another said they were “disappointed” in her for not using her big platform “properly.”

Others criticized Ana for sharing images of Al’s “crooked” feet, and someone else accused her of “disrespecting” Muslim culture when she shared photos taken at a mosque in Istanbul.

As the couple prepared to fly back to America on Tuesday, Ana decided to share another post and she certainly didn’t shy away from addressing the trolls.

The brunette star was eager to let everyone know that she and Al paid “full price” for their cabin on the Azamara cruise ship — even becoming friends with the staff on board.

Ana posted a few photos of her posing with two men who work on the ship: ‘Alston and Robert are from India. They work on the ship and we are assigned our room.

“Like almost everyone who works on a cruise, they are far from their loved ones and work hard to save money and provide a better life for their families. They wake up with a smile every day and put effort, pride and positive energy into everything they do. Azamara cruises have a very high crew to passenger ratio.

“I think I knew the names of half the crew by the end of the trip.

And before you start telling me about extravagant trips, know that on most trips, cabins start at less than $2,000 and you can eat, drink and dance ’til you drop. I’m not a cruiser. This was my 2nd cruise.

“Al (likes) cruising. For example, he traveled with his children when they were little because it was an easy way to see the world and spend time as a family.

‘Before and after the cruise I scheduled days in the countries so I could experience more. Azamara is not a cruise for children. Bigger ships are probably better. Azamara is relaxing.’

Ana continued, “Once you get there, you can do as little or as much as you want. You can be social or anti-social, play all day or read all day. Nobody cares.’

She then added, “This is not a paid partnership. We paid full price for our cabin and it was a beautiful 101 on Turkey and Greece, which would have been very difficult for me to plan and coordinate on my own.”

Ana also shared a video of a fellow vacationer sitting in a wheelchair while a woman danced next to him.

She wrote in the caption, “One of the best things that happened to me on this @azamaravoyages cruise was meeting people who made an impact on me.”

Referring to the couple in the video, she continued, “Peter and Naomi are a couple living in Hawaii. He was a competitive skier. He broke his back and was paralyzed from the waist down at the age of 24.

‘Peter doesn’t let his wheelchair stop him from doing what he wants. He travels. To sail. And dances like a storm. Too often we let smaller things get us down. Peter inspired me to stop being obsessed with the little things and grab everything life has to offer with both hands,’ Ana added.

Her fans were quick to respond to the post, wanting to reassure Ana that she doesn’t need to “defend” herself when it comes to going on vacation.

‘Really WHO cares about your extravagant lifestyle. It’s YOUR LIFE to enjoy, we all have our lives and we all deserve to live our lives however much we want to. Never apologize for what you’re doing,” one commented.

‘I’m glad you had a great trip. YOU DESERVE IT!……don’t worry about others!…it’s all about you with your life! Not from anyone else…’ they added.

Someone else wrote, “Ana, you don’t have to defend yourself against the trolls here. You have every right to take a vacation and enjoy it!’

And a third person said, ‘Don’t apologize for being able to take this amazing journey. You work hard for what you have achieved.’

Last week, Ana decided to respond to certain negative comments, but ignored the comments asking her if she was taking Ozempic for weight loss.

“Thank you for forcing your expensive vacation on all of us who can’t even afford health care or decent groceries. I’m so happy for you,” someone said angrily.

Another wrote, “Ana, you have Riley’s life!…I admire your journalism, but you seem to take a lot of vacations. Enjoy it,” to which she replied sarcastically, “Well, I have to make up for the four years of Trump stress and the two years of Covid lockdown. Life is short. Travel and experience as much as you can.’
