The Vengaboys are making a comeback to the UK stage, and this is where YOU can join them.

They topped the ’90s charts with danceable anthems like Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!, We’re Going to Ibiza and We Like to Party.

And The Vengaboys have brought the party spirit to 2023 as they are set to return to the UK this year for their 25th anniversary, performing at a host of music festivals across the country.

The Dutch group, known for their flamboyant fashion and up-tempo hits, are currently on tour in Australia.

Female vocalists Kim Sasabone and Denise Post-Van Rijswijk join male vocalists Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa to form the dance quartet, which previously included Roy den Burger.

But as they travel from Down Under for an epic comeback, what have they been up to in the two decades since their initial fame, and what do they look like now?

The Vengaboys will touch down in the UK this April, with their first stop in a city that knows how to party, Glasgow.

Taking to Glasgow’s Braehead Arena, The Vengaboys will be the support act for Scottish EDM group The Time Frequency on April 22, with tickets available online from £49.29.

Next stop, Dorset. The band will also perform at the 3-day Teddy Rocks family festival on Friday, April 28.

The Vengaboys will bring nostalgia to London’s 90’s Super Show and Mighty Hoopla festivals.

Held at the capital’s Indigo at The O2, the 90’s Super Show is on Saturday 29 April and will also see Ace Of The Base’s Jenny Berggren and Swedish group Rednex perform.

While performing at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival on Sunday June 4, which will also welcome Years & Years, Aqua, Kelly Rowland, Natasha Bedingfield and Sophie Ellis-Bexter.

From April through October, the band will tour Scotland, Ireland and England for a host of appearances, including the one in Elgin. Macmoray Easter Festival, Brighton’s Noughty 90’s Festival and Butlins’ 90S Reloaded in Somerset.

What are the Vengaboys like now?

They were party-goers in their 20s during their rise to fame in the late 1990s.

Denise looks almost unrecognizable as she is now a blonde diva, having gotten rid of the red locks she was previously known for.

The beauty looks a far cry from her chart-topping days, as she often leaves her lighter locks in a stunning curl, but she still sports the same unique style, with sparkly jumpsuits and latex remaining a staple. in his wardrobe.

Now a mother of two, she shares a son Jayden and a daughter River Mae with her partner of 22 years Winston Post, beginning a romance with the Dutch actor at the height of his fame.

He now shares a son, Joveyn, with DJ partner Nick Kazemian, often posting sweet family photos for his 18,200 Instagram followers.

Roy den Burger was an original member of The Vengaboys, before being replaced by Donny Latupeirissa in the 2000s.

And while Roy may not have quite the cowboy look he did back then, he still looks very similar to his days in the band, now opting for a longer beard and glasses.

The band came to the spotlight in 1998 when their hit We Like To Party pIt reached number 1 in Belgium, before Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom topped the UK charts a year later.

After four albums, the group temporarily disbanded in 2002, as Denise went on to welcome her first child, Jayden, during the hiatus.

The band then reunited in 2006, with Roy, who later embarked on a career as a cabin crew with the Dutch airline KLM, being replaced by Donny as he did not return to the group.

Speaking previously about his decision to leave, Roy shared: “I wanted to experience the world as myself, without bodyguards, without promotion people, without record company people.”

Roy now uses the Connors last name on social media and is still enjoying life as a cabin attendant, while performing as drag queen Crystal Connors between flights.

When the Vengaboys returned with new bember Donny, they started appearing on the club scene again in 2006.

The band released new singles in 2010 and 2013, before creating a Christmas album in November 2014.

While they later supported Steps on his Party on the Dancefloor Tour in November and December 2017.

And now that it’s been 25 years since they started, The Vengaboys have enjoyed a 25th anniversary tour of Australia, before hitting the UK later this year.
