Tekken 8s The v1.02.01 update will be released later today and will bring a number of new features, character adjustments and measures to combat online cheaters.

However, there will also be a maintenance period around this time, so players may have to wait a few hours longer than the stated time.
It’s a somewhat substantial update, adding the premium Tekken Shop to the game. The Tekken Shop offers new character costumes, as well as Avatar skins and other goodies, which you can purchase with Tekken Coins purchased with real money.
The first round of additional costumes has already been announced. They include Jun’s Tekken Tag Tournament 2 costume, Jin and Xiaoyu’s Tekken 4 costumes, as well as one of Kazuya’s costumes Tekken 6.
The patch notes also mention addressing players found to be cheating in online ranked matches. The entry reads as follows: “High-ranked players who were reported multiple times and found to have cheated were removed from the leaderboard and had their rank reset to Novice.”
A range of bug fixes and minor character adjustments have also been added, such as showing unique icons when certain characters have reached a special status, such as Asuka’s Naniwa Gusto or Leroy’s Cane Techniques. As for cheaters, many players may feel like the punishment doesn’t go far enough. Certainly, it will be difficult for them to return characters to the base rank for beginners. But there is nothing here to indicate that the deception has been completely prevented. Still, this is likely the first step in an ongoing mission to keep cheaters at bay; probably a small fix while we wait for a more effective solution.
