The unexpected way couple in their early 20s make $500,000 a year while living their dream ‘van life’ travelling around Australia: ‘It’s heaven’

A young 'van life' couple is living their dream as they travel Australia – and raking in a whopping $500,000 a year in the process.

Nathan, 23, and Bec, 25, left their home in Mornington, Victoria, in a minibus to see Australia 12 months ago and haven't looked back.

It was an expensive move to make, so the couple quickly decided to make another drastic change to their lifestyle: both traveling and filming 'adult' content on the go.

Since then, they have developed a huge online following, skyrocketing their income to half a million dollars a year.

'Not many people can afford to live on the road, it's so expensive. Fuel, the vehicle and everything,” Bec told FEMAIL.

They started documenting their travels on TikTok and Instagram, attracting thousands of followers before they started posting content on an adult platform

'Filming content honestly doesn't take that much time. It's a good way to live when your biggest decision is where you go!'

After Covid put Melbourne in lockdown and saw Nathan lose his job as an electrician, the couple used their savings to buy a minivan and start living a life on the road.

“During Covid in Melbourne it was really terrible and a lot of people were stuck at home. We always liked the idea of living in a van and living in a van, so we decided to buy a minivan,” Bec said.

They started documenting their travels on social media, attracting thousands of views and followers.

Their Instagram, Island bound on tourhas 11,000 followers, while on TikTok they have as many as 124,000 fans.

'We gained a lot of followers on social media as we traveled by bus and showed people the hidden gems in Australia. Then we got to a point where the niche became very expensive, so we ended up with Only Fans,” Nathan said.

“That gave us a huge following in the first week, so we made quite a bit of money from that,” Bec added. “We linked to our Instagram or TikTok and got more subscribers, it worked really well for us almost immediately.”

“We have a four-wheel drive that fits all our stuff, a fridge, a shower and a roof tent so we can sleep – pretty much everything you can do with a four-wheel drive, we have it,” Nathan said

After just three months of travel, Nathan and Bec had built a loyal community of fans and subscribers and the money started pouring in, so they upgraded the bus to a luxury four-wheel drive.

“Our whole life was in this big bus… but then we could afford a luxury car,” Nathan said.

A year later, the couple have seen 'literally all of Australia' and spend their days exploring some of the country's most stunning 'hidden gems', sharing snippets of their travels online.

They use their eye-watering pay packages to finance their travels, investments and savings for their future.

'On a normal day we woke up early and went to the place we wanted to explore. If there is a nice location, we will take a few [adult] pictures,” Bec said.

Nathan and Bec are back in Victoria and now visiting family at Christmas, but have no plans to stop traveling, creating spicy content and growing their income

“At night we talked to our fans for three to four hours and let them know what we had done that day,” Nathan added.

On average, they spend only two to four hours per day on their work.

“On the road it's easy to always be content because you're in such beautiful places, and then you spend a few hours at night destroying everything and overtaking everyone,” Bec explained.

They are big fans of Western Australia and cite Broome, Coral Bay and Exmouth as their favorite destinations so far.
