There was one thing everyone wanted for Christmas this year: plastic forks from Chipotle.

Yes, you read that correctly.

In a new TikTok video posted by a user @baylamarie2013 this week they documented unpacking a huge box of forks at the fast food restaurant.

“When you get 1,500 Chipotle forks for Christmas,” they captioned the video, sharing their new collection of black plastic forks.

Strangely enough, chain forks have made headlines before, as many people claimed that dishes taste better when they use the utensil.

There are tons of them videos posted to TikTok discussing the topic, with numerous users stating that they had noticed that Chipotle food just didn’t taste that good if they ate it with a metal fork.

And it turns out people have been discussing this for years – and even the stars are involved.

In 2018, New York Knicks shooting guard Josh Hart stated that Chipotle “tasted better with a plastic fork than with a metal fork,” according to SBNation.

It was clear from @baylamarie2013’s comments section that they weren’t the only ones longing for plastic Chipotle forks for Christmas.

‘I can imagine! Getting the forks at Chipotle is the highlight of my visit! They are perfection in the world of plastic cutlery,” one person wrote.

Another agreed: “Wait literally, my dream.”

“How does it feel to make my dream come true,” someone else joked.

A fourth commenter admitted, “I don’t eat my chipotle without it.”

“That would be the best gift ever,” a fifth shared.

“I forgot my fork and napkins once, so I drive back to Chipotle to get them!” one viewer revealed.

This year, Chipotle even made Halloween costumes with their viral utensils.

The company partnered with Spirit Halloween to create multiple costumes, including Chipotle Fork, Chipotle Napkin, Chipotle Water Cup, Chipotle Burrito and Chipotle Bag.

The five unitard costume collection became available online and in select stores on September 6.

Each costume was meant to represent some of Chipotle’s most used items.

Despite the Chipotle costume hype, the fast-food chain revealed that its collection would only be sold at select locations in Chicago, Denver, Egg Harbor Township, Los Angeles and New York.
