Microsoft’s Xbox Wireless Controller is the gamepad of choice for millions of gamers. It’s comfortable, a pleasure to use, and it’s entirely possible that one of these will last for years depending on how hard you use it. Not to mention, it’s one of Polygon’s favorite controllers for PC gaming thanks to its built-in Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility with most PC games, whether you use it with Steam or the PC Game Pass app (you can also connect with a mobile phone or tablet).
The Xbox controller normally retails for $59.99, which is a bit more affordable compared to gamepads from other console manufacturers. But today it is a lot of cheaper than the competitors at Woot, costs $39.99 in black color, with a USB-C cable included in the box if you decide to go the wired route. By comparison, the Sony DualSense is almost twice as expensive, selling for $74.99 new.
