INTRODUCTION The Trial of Erin Patterson:

Australian mother of two Erin Patterson has been charged with three counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder after allegedly serving poisonous mushrooms to her ex-husband’s relatives.

In July 2023, Gail Patterson, Don Patterson and Heather Wilkinson died, and Ian Wilkinson fought for his life after eating Beef Wellington at a family lunch.

Four charges have also been added to the indictment, namely attempted murder of her ex-husband from previous years.

In this episode, radio journalist Caroline Cheetham and Melbourne correspondent Wayne Flowers discuss the case and the severe restrictions on reporting ahead of the trial, which is scheduled for April 28, 2025.
