The Traitors took an emotional turn Thursday night when the final five contestants opened up about what the experience on the show has meant to them.
As Mollie, Andrew, Jaz, Harry and Evie gathered for a celebratory dinner in preparation for tomorrow’s final, the group discussed why winning the show and taking home the prize money would mean so much to each of them.
Things took a particularly emotional turn for both Mollie and Andrew when the pair opened up about their health issues and their respective journeys to appearing on the show.
Disability model Mollie, 21, opened up for the first time on the show about getting a stoma at the age of 18, as she candidly revealed the impact the life-changing surgery had on her.
She explained: ‘I’ve been quite ill most of my life since I was 11. I actually wanted to advocate for people with limb differences and ostomies.

Andrew, 45, broke down in tears as he made the heartbreaking admission to the group that he hated what he saw in the mirror for years after his horrific road accident
“Looking back at myself three years ago, at some points I couldn’t even leave the house, so it’s kind of crazy to be running around here with you guys now.”
Mollie was born with missing fingers on her right hand and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at age 11, which resulted in an ileostomy to remove her colon.
She now wears an ostomy bag that collects her waste and has proudly posed with it during shoots in an attempt to dispel the stigma and normalize her disabilities.
Speaking to the camera, she explained: ‘I really struggled to understand that I was going to have a stoma.
‘I wasn’t prepared for it at the age of 18. You just want to enjoy yourself with your friends and not have a life-changing operation.”
She continued, “Since my surgery, I have my life back. I realized I could wear whatever I wanted. I can go out, I can enjoy myself. It has completely changed my life.
‘So much of my life has been taken away and controlled by my illness. I want to live and I don’t want to regret not traveling.’
Traitor Harry added: “What an amazing woman Mollie is and what she has been through. It’s just so good to see her being the confident woman she is, doing what she wants and listening to everyone. “She’s strong enough on her own.”
Discussing her recovery, Mollie said: “When I look back at myself three years ago, at some points I couldn’t even leave the house, so to be running around here with you now is quite crazy.”
Mollie Pearce has appeared in glossy campaigns for Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger and Kurt Geiger in her role as a disability model, where she proudly displays her colostomy bag
Unable to hold back tears, he told the camera, “In my life, I have been my worst critic and I have always been hard on myself. To be honest, I’ve never really appreciated what I’ve done in my life.”
No one was killed off in the penultimate episode, as they instead discussed why winning the show and taking home the prize money would mean so much to each of them.
Traitor Harry’s morals were tested as he listened to the other player’s incredible stories… knowing he was the mastermind behind the game
Meanwhile, Andrew also opened up about the horrific road accident that left him fighting for his life.
In Wednesday’s episode, the insurance broker, 45, admitted he had been given a ‘second chance at life’ after suffering severe brain damage after being in a coma for five days following the traumatic accident.
When speaking about his trauma among his fellow contestants, he made a heartbreaking confession, admitting that for years he “hated” what he saw in the mirror.
‘As most of you know, I had my accident 24 years ago and for so long I walked around with a chip on my shoulder, feeling angry and resentful about everything about my accident.
‘I looked at myself in the mirror for years and until recently hated what I saw. I hated my scars, I hated everything really. So I just really wanted to step out of my comfort zone.
“If you have scars or trauma in life, you keep dreaming and you keep chasing dreams and eventually things will happen, you just have to keep believing in yourself.”
Fans on Twitter couldn’t contain their emotions as they shouted that Andrew had them in tears
Unable to hold back tears, he told the camera, “In my life, I have been my worst critic and I have always been hard on myself.
‘I’ve never celebrated anything I’ve done well, or I’ve always been hard on myself and thought I could do things better. To be honest, I’ve never really appreciated what I’ve done in my life.
‘It’s a great achievement to be in the last five and yes, I’m proud of myself.’
The Welshman then revealed that he would use the money to help finance his son to travel to Australia, pay off some debts and also kick-start a career change.
The security guard admitted that he would like to help people with both their mental and physical health and hopefully open his own business.
