The Traitors leaves fans in shock as viewers skip to the third episode and discover a HUGE twist after the first show was left on a cliffhanger

The Traitors kicked off season two Wednesday night with a highly anticipated nail-biting episode that was left on an unexpected cliffhanger.

And while some fans waited patiently for Thursday night's episode to air, other viewers jumped straight to BBC iplayer to watch the next two episodes.

Fans who couldn't resist waiting and moving on quickly discovered a huge new twist in the next few episodes.

And using X, formerly known as Twitter, to reveal their thoughts without giving too many spoilers, viewers were left in total shock.

Some wrote: 'NO SPOILERS…. But omfg I'm shocked that these traitors and believers are NOT holding back, episode 3 of the best episode we've had yet in the traitor franchise. BEWARE OF THE CLIFFHANGER.'

Fans have predicted who the fourth traitor will be after the first episode of series two ended on a huge cliffhanger.

During the launch show on Wednesday, host Claudia Winkleman, 51, announced Harry, Ash and Paul as the three chosen Traitors.

The other 19 contestants will remain as Faithfuls and will have to try to find out who they think could be a traitor before they are killed – cut from the show.

However, the Traitors took on a completely different light this season and were tasked with choosing a fourth Traitor to join their clan – but their identities were not revealed as it ended on a dramatic cliffhanger.

Although the trio has narrowed down the choice of Andrew, Diane, Miles or Sonja to join them, viewers will have to wait until Thursday night's episode to find out.

Retired teacher Diane, 63, from Lancashire, says she has taught 'some very difficult children' and knows how to keep calm.

As for a possible game plan, she said, “I've had to use tactics to gain control of a classroom. I used a lot of humor, and you had to know when to pick your battles.

“I know from the last series that Wilfred said he would push people aside and try to cause ripples, but I won't do anything like that.”

On the possibility of Diane being a traitor, she said, “You have to be very careful who you befriend.

'Maybe I find it difficult, but I would still like to say that I could go all the way.

“You're in this and you have nothing in your life but this game for a total of three weeks, it's going to be so easy to let it get the better of you.”

But while addressing the castmates for the 2024 season as they stood in line next to a lake, Claudia revealed that this year's missions have arrived with a new twist.

As well as offering the opportunity to raise £15,000 towards the prize pool, Claudia added a surprising new layer to the challenges.
