Viewers will have to wait and see if a Faithful will manage to catch the two remaining Traitors and who will win the prize money.

On the show, contestants sign up before Claudia Winkleman secretly selects a small number of players to be the traitors. The rest of the players are known as ‘The Faithful’ and none of The Faithful know who The Traitors are.

Players are then eliminated when the traitors meet in secret and decide to ‘murder’ one of the faithful. The next morning, when the group meets for breakfast, the ‘killed’ player does not appear.

Who will it be? Viewers will have to wait and see if a Faithful will manage to catch the two remaining Traitors and who will win the prize money.

The end is near: It comes after faithful Maddy was removed from the castle in Wednesday’s episode, leaving Hannah, Aaron, and Meryl to battle secret traitors Wilf and Kieran.

Later in the day, all the players have to meet at the ‘Round Table’ and ‘banish’ the player they suspect to be a Traitor.

Of the original 22 contestants, only five remain to fight for prize money, after Faithful Maddy Smedley was thrown out of the castle in the penultimate episode.

Two Traitors remain, Wilf Webster and Keiran Tompsett, who must convince the Faithful that they are innocent and one of their own.

And after playing a highly intelligent and often cowardly game that saw him plot against fellow traitor Amanda Lovett, resulting in her surprise banishment, Wilf is determined to emerge victorious.

With three faithful left, Hannah Byczkowski, Aaron Evans and Meryl Williams, the trio have to work hard as a group to identify the killers.

Speaking about his surprise at reaching the final without being caught, Will said: ‘It’s very surreal, I didn’t think it would get this far at some point.. When all fingers were pointed at me, I never thought I would go this far.

However, he admitted that taking on the role hasn’t been easy and “stabbing in the back” with his new friends has been a “struggle”.

‘I really didn’t think it would be as difficult as it was to kill people, or see people be banished knowing that you are the one who should be banished’.

While Hannah, who never questioned the loyalty of her friend Wilf, revealed that she had “no idea” how she got to the finale and was convinced it would last “about five minutes”.

“I think you spend a lot of time guessing and game planning, trying to put together a game plan and then it all goes out the window and you’re just happy to be there another day.”

The faithful Aaron has found himself constantly fingered by other players and accused daily of being a traitor.

When asked if he thought he would make it to the final, he exclaimed: ‘No way! Are you kidding?

‘No, I didn’t think I would make it to the final five. I thought she would be out after the third day and that was before I knew what would happen on the third day.’

Mystery: The show sees contestants sign up before a small number of players are secretly selected to be Los Traidores. The rest of the players are known as ‘Los Fieles’

Truth and Lies: Two traitors remain, Wilf Webster and Kieran Tompsett, and after playing a clever and dastardly game, Wilf (pictured right) is determined to emerge victorious.

Meryl, who has also been wrongly accused of being a traitor, said making it to the final was a real “pinch me” moment.

‘I never expected it in a million years. When I first got into the program, I just wanted to try and get through. I kept thinking about one more day, one more day. I never thought it would go this far, for sure. It feels surreal.’

Meanwhile, Kieran found himself dramatically kicked off the show in episode one alongside Amos, before later returning as a faithful before joining the ranks of traitors alongside Wilf.

Recalling the early departure, he said, “And I was getting ready to move left, right, and center!”

“It was the most brutal twist on a game show and set the tone for the show perfectly – it had everyone hooked from the very first episode. But being at the end was tough.’

The Traitors concludes Thursday at 9pm on BBC One. Catch up now on BBC iPlayer.

Hosted: Strictly star Claudia Winkleman is the host of the series, filmed in the Scottish Highlands, and presides over the missions as well as the highly tense Round Table sessions.
