The Traitors’ banished star Ash admits she is still backing Paul and Harry to win despite them betraying her – amid fan theories that she will expose them in her exit speech

The Traitors star Ash has admitted she is still backing Paul and Harry to win the big BBC competition, despite them turning on her in brutal scenes.

Ash, 45, became the first traitor to be banished from the Scottish castle in dramatic scenes on Wednesday after her strategy completely backfired.

She nominated herself to be isolated in the dungeon alongside Paul, 36, in a bid to avoid suspicion after she came under fire from the Faithfuls when Harry and Paul betrayed her.

However, the decision sealed her fate as the Faithfuls became more convinced of her guilt due to her isolation, and her fellow traitors Harry, Paul and Miles all voted her out in a strategic move.

Despite their shocking betrayal, Ash admitted that she is still on team Traitors and rooting for them all to win, saying that she is ready to watch the show as an oblivious viewer after her eviction.

Speaking to Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson on Thursday’s This Morning, Ash said: I feel like I have to be a traitor until the end, I have to support my traitor brothers.

‘I still have to support them! If the show is called Traitors, it has to be about the Traitors!’

She also remained tight-lipped about fans’ theories that she would unmask Paul in her exit speech, after leaving viewers on a cliffhanger that ended amid her banishment.

Craig said, “Paul will be found out very soon,” to which Ash innocently replied, “You think?”

When asked about her strategy on the show, Ash also admitted that her downfall was being too trusting of her fellow traitors and not being herself on the show.

“I think maybe I had too much faith in my fellow traitors? But you know, we are traitors, traitors must have qualities! That’s our job, that’s what we have to do,” she said.

“I think (not being myself) was possibly my downfall. I think if I had been a little more myself, I would like to joke and have fun, but I should have been more serious.

“But if I had relaxed a little more and enjoyed myself, people might not have looked at me.”

Traitors Harry (pictured) and Paul both voted for Ash on Tuesday, and she narrowly avoided expulsion. They threw her under the bus again and had her banned on Wednesday.

Unlike the first round of voting for Ash, Miles also voted for Ash along with his fellow traitors as the Faithfuls' suspicions grew, leaving them devastated.

Following Ash’s banishment, fans have predicted that she will expose her fellow traitor Paul in her exit speech following his betrayal.

They wrote on social media: ‘That cliffhanger definitely means Ash will drop a bombshell when she leaves. I think she’ll tell them that she wasn’t the only traitor in the dungeon who completely threw Paul under the bus. Love it;’

“Honestly, if I was going to play the game, I definitely would. vote for someone sentenced to the Dungeon at the Round Table, because this is exactly the way a Traitor would try to appear innocent, and besides, you greatly increase your chances of getting a Traitor released;’

“This twist is a mess because they sent two traitors to the dungeon. Now we know Meg will be the next murdered.”

The tense episode had a huge plot twist when traitors Ash and Paul were both at risk of being voted out when they entered the dungeon.

She also remained tight-lipped about fans' theories that she would expose Paul in her exit speech, as she refused to shed light on whether she will get the Traitors back.

The pair nominated themselves to be separated from the group and placed alongside Faithfuls Meg and Andrew in the bowels of the castle.

But their strategy almost backfired when Andrew was rescued by the Faithfuls instead of Paul or Ash, meaning that if Meg had been sent home, no one would have been killed and their identities would have been compromised.

Paul said this move was a “strategy within a strategy” to get Ash voted out so they can give the Faithfuls a traitor and he can cement his status as a fake Faithful.
