When Lord Sugar delivered his final damning verdict and dismissed Gregory, he said in the boardroom: ‘Gregory, by your own admission, you had problems with the assignment. In business you have to adapt. It is with regret, Gregory, that you are fired.

Speaking in the taxi after his dismissal, Gregory said: “I understand that Lord Sugar dismissed me because he felt I couldn’t adapt.

“However, I am determined to prove Lord Sugar wrong and show him why he should have been his next business partner.”

Controversy: Earlier this week, Gregory was forced to apologize after his online marketplace ‘ebay for antiques’ was revealed to be stocking Nazi memorabilia.

Speaking to MailOnline, Gregory apologized, explaining that “the item in question was sold by a third party.”

“I in no way condone or wish to seek to celebrate this abominable and shameful part of history and I apologize for any offense caused,” Gregory said in a statement to MailOnline.

“My online business is an antiques marketplace where independent sellers have a platform to sell a wide range of antiques, memorabilia, and the military from different periods of history.

‘The item in question was sold by a third party. This type of memorabilia is not something that he would personally sell or store. The website is relatively new and I will be looking to implement more stringent vetting procedures for third party vendors.

The businessman, who is also Jewish, had become a fan favorite since the show’s launch earlier this month with many saying he was their first favorite to win.

On last week’s episode of The Apprentice, two candidates left the show, with Shannon Martin deciding to leave the process after realizing she wasn’t “in it for the right reasons.”

After his exit, Kevin D’Arcy became the second candidate in the series to be fired by Lord Sugar, after being told he was “more focused on revenue than profit” during the disastrous Bao Buns challenge.
