Being surrounded by actors of royal blood would make most people a star.
But for Mary May Smith, as Pierce Brosnan’s mother, it’s just another day.
The 90-year-old was once again a guest of honor on the sets of Brosnan’s latest films, as the actor made up for lost time after a childhood spent divorced.
Brosnan, 71, shared a photo on social media of Ms Smith showing her smiling in a beige jumper and matching trousers, alongside his veteran co-stars Sir Ben Kingsley, 80, Dame Helen Mirren, 79, and Celia Imrie, 72.
An all-star cast has been assembled for The Thursday Murder Club, produced by Steven Spielberg and based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Richard Osman.

His father left when he was a baby and he was raised by his grandparents in Ireland. Mrs. Smith, a retired nurse, worked in England to support the family and was only able to visit him once a year.
The duo have spent decades making up for lost time, with Ms. Smith hitting up various red carpet events and film sets.
No release date has yet been set for the Netflix film.
