The third DLC chapter of Crusader Kings 3 is all about prestige and teasing

Crusader Kings 3 is a grand strategy game, infamous for the fact that the best laid plans of men and women often go wrong. Characters tend to cheat, spy, go crazy, contract terrible diseases, die in battle, or end up in prison – all of which can be dangerous for a young dynasty. Two new major expansion packs are coming in 2024, including one built around the Byzantine Empire.

Paradox will be released on March 4 Legends of the Dead, a core expansion that allows nobles to command performers to sing their great deeds. Legendary Dynasties gain access to new decisions, buildings and parties. You can even keep a historian at your court, which is a great combination with all those bards and poets hanging around parties.

You just have to watch out for all the new diseases: the bloody rush, the measles, something called holy fire, and the bubonic plague are all on the table in Legends of the Dead. Dealing with other dynasties and peasant uprisings is difficult enough, but when a major plague hits your court, your kingdom could crumble from within.

Players can also expect Roads to power, the expansion of the Byzantine Empire that allows players to rule from Constantinople. Intriguingly, Paradox suggests that you might be able to take to the road and live a much more nomadic life as a hired adventurer.

The full chapter can be pre-purchased for $43.98 and includes a Couture of the Capets cosmetics pack. While we know Legends of the Dead is scheduled for March 4, we will have to wait for further release dates for the other updates.
