The Taco Bell x Cheez-It collab is finally going nationwide-but only for a limited time

The future is cheesy at Taco Bell thanks to the release of two Cheez-It themed menu items.

The Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and the Big Cheez-It Tostada are now available to rewards members, according to the restaurant chain’s May 30 press release.

“Taco Bell Rewards members will receive exclusive early access to the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and Big Cheez-It Tostada on May 30, ahead of the national release date, June 6,” the press release said.

Taco Bell also confirmed that the products will only be available for a limited time.

The Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme will retail for $5.49 and the Big Cheez-It Tostada for $3.99.

Taco Bell created the menu items together with Kellanova – a company that produces Cheez-It products.

The companies began working together in 2022, conducting a limited-time test run for the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and Big Cheez-It Tostada items at a Taco Bell in California.

The test run worked in the company’s favor, as the items received an “overwhelmingly positive response” from Taco Bell customers.

“This test drive proved incredibly successful as fans made it clear that Big Cheez-It’s menu items brought something new to the table, something bigger than ever before,” the press release said.

Taco Bell then announced that the cheesy items would become part of the restaurant menu at their first-ever Live Más LIVE event in February 2024 and that the Cheese-It cracker in the Tostada would be 16 times larger than a regular one.

‘This collaboration is not just about bringing two iconic brands together; it’s about using the spirit of fan innovation to create something truly larger than life,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer at the event.

The Cheese-It themed items have similar ingredients and the cracker in the Tostado is 16 times larger than the original.

The Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme will be a hearty item with nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, low-fat sour cream and tomatoes.

However, a huge Cheez-It cracker will replace the usual tostada shell before being wrapped in a grilled tortilla.

The Big Cheez-It Tostada contains all the ingredients from the Crunchwrap, except it has shredded cheese instead of the cheesy sauce.

Taco Bell customers who want to get more items with their Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme can do so by purchasing a Big Cheez-It Box for $8.99.

In addition to the Crunchwrap Supreme, the box includes a five-layer burrito, nacho fries with cheese sauce and a medium fountain drink.

X users (formerly Twitter) who were lucky enough to get early access to Cheez-It have left both positive and negative reviews about the menu items in their tweets.

‘All that excitement over something so simple. What’s that but a giant Cheez-It covered in ground beef, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes,” says one X user tweeted this morning.
