The stylish Keychron K8 is available for the lowest price ever
Keychron’s keyboards may not be as flashy as most models from Corsair or Razer, but it can’t be argued that they’ve absolutely mastered the basics. If you need a reliable daily driver with some extensive customization options, you can currently pick up the Keychron K8 Amazon for the lowest price yet. Originally $69.99, the Keychron K8 is available for $56, but only if you click the coupon on the page before checking out.
The K8 is a ten-key keyboard (meaning there’s no numeric keypad stuck on the right side) that can pair with up to three devices via Bluetooth. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac devices. This model of the K8 comes standard with brown optical Gateron switches, but these can be manually swapped with other Gateron switches if you later decide you want a change in the way they feel to type on. Best of all, it can be done solder-free. You just need to supply the switches.
One of the highlights of this model is the wireless connectivity, but if you’re a gamer who wants less latency and NKRO (N-key rollover) so you can press as many keys at once as you need, then you’ll want to plug it in too. via the supplied USB cable.
Although Keychron makes a version of the K8 with RGB backlighting, this version is limited to more limited (but still quite nifty-looking) white backlighting. One nice thing about Keychron keyboards in general is that you don’t have to install an app to customize them. Instead, you can access the browser-based version of Keychron Through software and make the desired changes. Your profiles and preferences are then stored in the K8’s firmware.
The Keychron K8 may lack RGB lighting present in other game-ready mechanical keyboards. But for just $56 you get a more robust package of features than more expensive options like the Logitech MX Mechanical Mini that costs more than €100.
