The Star Citizen-based game, Squadron 42 is now feature-complete

The developers of the highly anticipated single-player science fiction game, Squadron 42has just announced that this upcoming title is now complete.

While this may not mean much to some, it is big news for those who have been following along Squadron 42‘s been traveling for a while. The title was first announced during a Kickstarter campaign in 2012 and was then given an initial release date of 2016. However, since the delay in 2016, we haven’t heard much else about a new release date, but thanks to this new feature-complete announcement, that can change.

To celebrate the news Squadron 42 With the features finally complete and one step closer to a release date, the developers gathered their core development leadership from around the world to discuss what this milestone means. This Youtube videotitled I held the line, begins with an exciting preview of the 42nd Squadron patrolling the Vega system.

From now on, we’ll get detailed explanations of some of the sci-fi game’s central features and mechanics from some of the leading developers, such as narrative designer Dave Haddock and film director Hannes Appell. There are also some previews of in-game action, such as gunfights and piloting a spaceship.
