The Simpsons KILLS OFF a major character in twisted episode that sees Lisa turning into a terrifying MURDERER

Lisa Simpson is usually known as the goody-two-shoes of the iconic cartoon family, but in the most recent episode of The Simpsons Halloween special, she develops a murderous split personality that cruelly turns her into a long-standing character from the show kills. .

During the animated series’ latest Treehouse of Horror special – the 34th – which aired on Sunday, Lisa sought revenge on a character who had a long-standing grievance against her family.

The episode ends with an adult, split personality version of Lisa killing Sideshow Bob in his prison cell.

Sideshow Bob, who is voiced by Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer, has been a staple of the show since Bart made him an authority and vowed to get revenge on him and his family.

Every year in November after Halloween, the Treehouse of Horror episodes of The Simpsons air, which parodies a famous horror film.

In 2023, the plot was titled Ei8ht, in tribute to the 1995 thriller Se7en.

At the beginning of the episode Sideshow, Bob finally achieves his long-standing goal: to kill Bart.

Thirty years later, Lisa becomes a university professor of criminal psychology and is tasked with finding a serial killer.

After discovering a series of mysterious murders, she turns to Sideshow Bob for help.

He quotes a poem about Bart’s murder and Lisa tells him that if he dies in his cell, she will dance.

As she continues to discover the identity of the serial killer, it is revealed to her that she has been the killer all along and she is taken to prison.

With the help of her sister-turned-prison guard Maggie, she waits for Sideshow Bob in his prison cell, where she reveals her split personality.

“Hello, Bob,” she says as she enters the cell, in the same menacing manner he greeted Bart before all his murder attempts.

When Sideshow Bob asks how she got there, she replies, “I knew if I killed enough people in the most gruesome ways, they would send me to your prison.”

“But to get into your cell, I had a little help,” she adds, pointing to Maggie on the other side of the door.

‘Lisa the murderer. I never thought you had it in you,” he replies.

“Not the Lisa you knew,” she says, pulling back her hair. “But I’m a different story.”

‘Split personalities? Trope alert! Call the police at first thought,” he notes wryly.

She then explains how she used her other personality, Professor Lisa, as an unwitting accomplice.

‘Professor Lisa had no idea she was my accomplice, but now she’s gone. She was my last victim. Or rather, second to last,” she says as she turns on the radio and dances while she cuts him to death with a knife.

While Sideshow Bob undoubtedly died after the slash-fest, everything that happens in the Treehouse of Horror series is not canon. Therefore, both Bart and Sideshow Bob are not technically dead and will continue to appear in the main series.

Sideshow Bob’s wrath began in season one, episode 12, when he grew tired of being Krusty the Clown’s sidekick.

Bob frames the clown for stealing from the Kwik-E-Mart and Krusty is arrested.

However, Bart becomes suspicious and is determined to prove Krusty’s innocence.

Sideshow Bob takes over Krusty’s show and invites Bart on stage during the live broadcast.

At this point Bart puts the pieces together and exposes Bob for framing Krusty.

From this point on, Sideshow Bob swears revenge on Bart and his family.

Throughout the series he has tried to kill Bart more than ten times.

The Simpsons is the longest-running scripted TV series. It first premiered in 1989 and has now been around for 34 years.

Most recently, the series was extended until 2025.

This means that the show will continue at least until season 36 and will surpass the 800 episode milestone.
