The shrine board signs a pact to set up health ATMs at Vaishno Devi temple track

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for installation of nine cloud-enabled health ATMs along the pilgrim route in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said on Saturday.

The shrine administration signed a pact with Hewlett Packard Enterprise for health ATMs and a Telemedicine Studio at Katra, the base camp for the pilgrims visiting the shrine, the official said.

He said this step is part of the administration’s commitment to provide quality and easily accessible healthcare services to the pilgrims.

This initiative is being undertaken by the Shrine Board as per the directions of (Lieutenant Governor) Manoj Sinha, who is also the Chairman, in collaboration with HPE as part of its CSR to improve healthcare accessibility for pilgrims, stakeholders and local residents. 24 hours a day on the yatra circuit, the official said.

Furthermore, he said the installation of a single telemedicine studio in Katra will bridge the gap and improve patient outcomes by enabling seamless virtual consultation between pilgrims and healthcare providers through high-definition video conferencing, irrespective of geographical barriers.

The health ATMs can instantly check more than 50 parameters including blood pressure (BP), sugar, body temperature, oxygen level, BMI, body fat index, dehydration and heart rate within 10 minutes.
