The shock society split on everyone’s lips at the GQ Men of the Year Awards as bombshell actress rocks up solo in a red hot ‘revenge dress’

Sorry guys, it was supposed to be your night.

But all the attention at the star-studded GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney was squarely on one female star.

Even the presence of A-listers Lara Worthington and her actor husband Sam couldn’t keep the eyes off Megan Mackenzie – and it wasn’t just because of her daring $11,300 red leather Versace corset ‘revenge dress’ that showed off her busty cleavage.

As celebrities clinked glasses and mingled on the red carpet, chatter turned from the US-born actress’s dress to her controversial playboy pub baron ex-fiance Jon Adgemis, and whether there was anything under her gloves.

In October, it was reported that the couple had quietly called time on their engagement, with Megan attending The Weeknd’s concert at Accor Stadium without her boyfriend.

The model didn’t wear her statement diamond ring on her wedding finger as she danced the night away alongside her socialite friends Jade Yarbrough, Sarah Stephens and Montana Cox.

Fast forward to Wednesday night’s GQ Awards and Megan is looking hotter than ever in a structured red midi dress worth thousands of pounds, stealing the show with the ultimate revenge look for the evening.

She made sure all eyes were on her with glowing red shoes and gorgeous leather gloves, while her hair was tied back to show off her dazzling earrings and sharp collarbones.

In 2020, former high-flying banker Jon turned his attention to serving beer – and set out to give Sydney’s pub czars a run for their money by building an empire of his own.

But it all came crashing down when his hospitality group began to struggle amid rising interest rates, and just two weeks ago the Commonwealth Bank took control of his 100-foot yacht, Hiilani, once owned by Shirley Temple, and appointed receivers as its holding company.

It was only a few years ago that Jon’s Jaga Group spent more than $50 million on pubs including The Town Hall in Balmain, The Kurrajong in Erskineville, The Exchange in Darlinghurst and The Camelia Grove in Alexandria.

He had also gone to the Empire Hotel in Annandale, paying $5 million for the popular corner pub.

The suave dealmaker planned to build an empire of more than 20 pubs, bars and hotels to compete with giants Merivale, Laundy Hotels and Iris Capital.

Although better known in social circles as the former boyfriend of model Cheyenne Tozzi, Jon is the former head of mergers and acquisitions at accounting giant KPMG.

His foray into Sydney’s hotel world drew attention to his high-flying playboy lifestyle.

In addition to a string of model ex-girlfriends, Adgemis has (or perhaps had) an impressive collection of exotic cars and was often pictured driving a black Maserati around Sydney.

The pair settled in with Megan more than seven years ago and made a striking social debut – by helicopter – at the 2017 Derby Day at Flemington.

Pre-Covid, the couple often documented their exotic international holidays and Megan often posed provocatively on board Jon’s now seized superyacht.

Megan, an actress, also stars in Paul Schrader’s film Oh Canada, alongside Richard Gere, Uma Thurman and Jacob Elordi.

The film is set to hit theaters this week and her ex Jon has a producer credit on the film.

Megan has also appeared on the Paramount+ television show Last King of the Cross, as well as the show Barons, for which Jon was also a producer.
