The Sexiest Man Alive turns heads as he’s spotted filming new movie on the Gold Coast

Paul Rudd was spotted leaving his hotel in Queensland on Thursday.

The genetically blessed 55-year-old – who was crowned The Sexiest Man Alive in 2021 – is currently filming a reboot of Anaconda on the Gold Coast.

Rudd looked every inch the Hollywood heartthrob as he flashed a smile to a colleague before getting into a waiting car and heading to the venue.

The Clueless star looked fresh in a white T-shirt paired with beige corduroy shorts.

He completed his look with brown loafers and accessorized with a fitness watch.

He was later seen on a Gold Coast film set enjoying a cup of coffee before donning his costume for the day shoot.

Rudd stars alongside funnyman Jack Black in the upcoming action-comedy, a reboot of the famous 1997 horror film about a giant human race that eats snakes.

The much-loved star was later spotted filming a scene in which he piloted a dinghy with an outboard motor along a ‘river’.

The dinghy, with camera equipment attached to the bow with a speed rail, was actually towed by the production crew.

The ageless hunk, dressed in his film outfit of a blue short-sleeved work shirt and matching shorts, used a large umbrella to protect himself from the bright sun between takes.

Rudd is probably best known for his role in the Anchorman films alongside co-stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell and Christina Applegate.

It comes after Rudd and Black shared that the new production will deviate from the original shocker starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Ice Cube and Jon Voight.

The first film is set in the Amazon and focuses on a group of filmmakers who encounter a giant anaconda.

Taking to social media with their own cheeky trailer earlier this month, the funnymen gave fans a taste of what they can look forward to.

Black and Rudd appear to be holding back laughter during the short clip, which the School of Rock star says was “taken on his phone.”

After announcing their starring roles in the new blockbuster, Black joked about the film’s title, saying, “It could be ‘The Anaconda’… Anyway, there’s a big damn snake coming and it’s going to rip.” ‘

Rudd then added: “You want to get scared? Do you want to laugh? Do you want to celebrate with your friends? Or maybe you’re sad and you don’t have anyone, but you just want to forget about that? It will be released at Christmas 2025.”

During the trailer, the pair confirmed that the Anaconda reboot will hit theaters by Christmas 2025.

Black finishes the trailer, which appears to have been filmed in a studio, by turning to his co-star and asking, “Dude, did you see the snake?” It’s in that room over there. They are about to feed him a donkey. Come on.’

The new film will inject $40 million into the local economy and create more than 300 jobs, trade magazine Inside Film reported on Monday.

Directed by American filmmaker Tom Gormican, the Anaconda reboot is produced by Sony and receives funding from the state government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.

The publication also reported that the production also received a 30 percent tax credit through the federal government’s Location Offset Subsidy, which aims to attract major productions to Australia.

Queensland’s rainforests will ‘stand in’ for the film’s setting, which is the Amazon jungle.

Queensland has managed to attract high-profile productions to the state, including Bluey, produced by Disney.

Meanwhile, a big-screen adaptation of the 1980s cartoon Voltron is already underway on the Gold Coast.

The original horror-thriller was a box office success even if it failed to impress critics, and co-starred Owen Wilson, Eric Stoltz, Ice Cube and Jon Voight.

It even spawned a franchise that spawned several sequels, including a 2004 theatrical installment starring Morris Chestnut, and several straight-to-video editions starring David Hasselhoff and Robert Englund, among others.

Early reports describe the reboot as a “reimagining” of the original concept rather than a sequel or remake, with the new version being more along the lines of the 2018 shark film The Meg.
