Forget traditional pornography, Generation Z is doing things differently today, even listening to pornography, instead of watching it.
The audio porn trend began during lockdown and has now been embraced by young women, providing a full body experience that allows your imagination to ‘run wild’ as you tune in to physical pleasure.
Anna Richards, founder and CEO of Frolicme.com, explained: “The rapid interest in audio pornography has allowed us to continue our natural interest in sex for arousal.”
He explained how humans are programmed to want to consume sexual content, but it’s how we access it that changes; the brain being the largest sexual organ.

We’ve already heard that this generation and millennials before them are less sexually active than young people 20 years ago, with celibacy between the ages of 25 and 34 doubling since 2002.
Anna told FEMAIL that for the tech-savvy Generation Z, it’s just a few clicks away and available through their choice of media.
She said: ‘Our smartphones in particular, provide easy and highly accessible listening to such non-visual imagery options, fanciful visions hardwired directly into our brains without anyone noticing.
“Suddenly no need for NSFW when only our minds are fed fabulous filth.”
Frolicme.com has a variety of audio clips, all under 20 minutes and from different categories, including messy love, Netflix and chill, and night vision.
Audio porn really took off during the Covid pandemic years as more of us sought solace and escapism in our technology.
Women-founded startups like Dipsea, an app of short stories ranging from five to 20 minutes, launched during lockdown as a way for women to focus on their bodies through guided sexual audio.
Anna explained that in the first six weeks after the initial shutdown in March 2020, she saw a 48 percent increase in listeners to her site’s Frolicme audio porn stories, with 61 percent women enjoying of gripping narratives.
As humans, we are naturally interested in sex, as we are biologically programmed to be instinctively aroused by sex.
Dipsea co-founder Gina Gutierrez, based in California, said Fashion how ‘sexuality’ should be in the same wellness category as ‘exercise and meditation’ to awaken the senses.
“Erotic audio gives you a chance to feel something more sensual,” he said.
‘For some people it’s great [to] to have the opportunity to turn off the ‘boss brain’ and go back to being a sensual person.’
Anna elaborated on this further, saying, “So the consumption of sexual content and pornography has been and always will be high.”
“But it is what we consume and how it is that changes and audio pornography takes advantage of our largest sexual organ, the brain.
“The rapid interest in audio pornography has allowed us to continue our natural interest in sex for arousal.
“It removes the negative issues surrounding mass-produced extreme free pornography, the kind of pornography that is more disgusting than exciting.
“The often-raised issues of consent, exploitation, and violence are rare in audio pornography, giving the discreet listener a safe haven to begin their own sexual exploration.”
This is desirable for a more conscious generation that is passionate about paving the way for a more emotionally tuned way of life.
Categories include dating, couples, rough, romantic, off limits, gay, straight, and solo, designed for users to “slow down” and “go with the flow.”
The individual category, which allows the user to be the main focus, allows people to disconnect from their work life and switch to a sensual zone.
In a 10-minute one-on-one Dipsea session titled ‘Self Touch: Glow Up’, a narrator guides the user through their body and into unexplored areas.
Gina reveals how the session will focus on the hands and ‘reconnecting with your body’ to understand ‘what feels good’.

Generation Z, being so in tune with technology offerings, are more likely to connect through their media and partners.
They have created an easy culture of hookups and sexual exploration finding so much with just a swipe of their screen.
Apps abound and the influence of technology has created instant intimate connections that offer a different style of sexual stimulation.
Anna reiterated: “The influence of Covid and our elimination of physical intimacy led to much greater interaction through technology and social platforms offered other forms of personal erotic images and content to get turned on.”
