The official trailer for The Santa Clauses premiered on the Disney Plus official YouTube channel on Thursday morning.
In the clip, Tim Allen reprises his role as Santa as the merry giver tried to retire and adapt to the modern world before a sudden threat to Christmas forced him to put his red outfit back on and save the holidays.
The upcoming miniseries serves as the fourth entry in the fan-favorite film series that originally debuted in 1994.

The trailer opens with Simon Choksi, played by Kal Penn, reading “Twas The Night Before Christmas” to his daughter, while Claus rides through the air on his reindeer-drawn sleigh.
The cheerful old man then enters a house before the homeowner, who doesn’t seem to recognize him, throws a wine bottle at his head.
As Claus flies to New York City, he complains that “It was different there. All those kids have grown up. They didn’t believe anymore.’
After the donor’s magic meter suddenly runs out, he falls off a roof and then tells his family that he is retiring.

Allen’s character then brings up the idea of seeing ‘what the rest of the world looks like as normal people’, much to the satisfaction of Mrs Claus, played by Elizabeth Mitchell.
Claus’s children are then surprised when they see his shaved face.
The Clauses visit a cafe and when Santa places an extraordinarily elaborate order, the barista complains that her “job is hard enough.”
The excursion doesn’t bother him, and he expresses his excitement at the prospect of spending Christmas with his family.
Good Idea: Allen’s character then brings up the idea of seeing ‘what the rest of the world looks like as normal people’, much to the delight of Mrs Claus, played by Elizabeth Mitchell

However, the elves at Santa’s headquarters share that his replacement “destroys the Christmas spirit,” and an elf vanishes into thin air.
Another notes that ‘when the last light goes out, it could be the end of Christmas’.
Claus is later informed of the situation, noting, “I retired too early, I hired the wrong man, I have to go back to the North Pole,” and his family surprisingly supports him in his decision.
A montage of scenes from the film is then shown, and the trailer ends with a performance by Claus’s former assistant, Bernard, played by David Krumholtz.

Solve the problem: Claus is later informed of the situation and remarks: ‘I retired too early, I hired the wrong man, I have to go back to the North Pole’, and his family surprisingly supports him in his decision
Allen, 69, spoke about working on the miniseries during an interview with Peoplewhere he stated that “to be back on set with so many of the original cast…it was like seeing family again.”
The Home Improvement star then noted that getting the merry old man back in his costume took him back to his earlier days.
‘It’s almost as if time has stood still other than my age. I look younger in Santa’s makeup now than outside,” he said.
Good Times: Allen spoke about working on the miniseries during an interview with People, where he said “to be back on set with so many of the original cast…it was like seeing family again”
Allen went on to say that he really enjoyed working on the upcoming project.
“The first day walking on set was amazing to see the faces of children and adults wide-eyed and smiling. It reminds me of how this movie magic works.’
The first two episodes of Santa Clauses will debut on November 16.
