The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus could get a key design feature from the Galaxy Z Fold 6

Now that the iPhone 16 series has been released, we expect the next big launch to be the simultaneous release of the rumored Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, as updates to the company’s current flagship lineup: the Samsung Galaxy S24.

We’ve already seen renders of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra , and now it’s the turn of the mid-range Galaxy S25 Plus.

Renders shared by Android Headlines and leak OnLeaksComputer-aided design (CAD) documents show that the Galaxy S25 Plus barely changes from the previous generation, aside from one major design update.

The renders show the supposed Galaxy S25 Plus with thick camera rings that resemble those on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, the placement of these cameras appears to be the same as those on the Galaxy S24 Plus, and the flat, rounded design looks near-identical too.

This follows from what we have seen in OnLeaks’ Milky Way S25 And Galaxy S25 Ultra renders, which have a nearly identical design to their predecessors, but feature thicker camera rings and, in the case of the Ultra, thinner bezels.

It’s worth noting that CAD mockups aren’t completely accurate, as they mainly focus on the dimensions of a product. Android Headlines Notes: The renders don’t show a SIM tray, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Samsung is removing it.

That said, the images appear to offer our first look at the alleged Galaxy S25 Plus, after months of rumors surrounding the phone’s internals.

As for the specs, rumors suggest that Samsung will ship the entire Galaxy S25 series with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.

We had previously heard that Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chipset was the preferred choice for Europe, South Korea and India, but since Tom’s guide According to the researchers, Samsung may be struggling to produce the massive quantities of 3nm chips needed for its smartphones.

Other leaks suggest the Galaxy S25 Plus could launch with 12GB of RAM, compared to 8GB on the Galaxy S24 Plus. This would be similar to the amount of RAM found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Z Fold 6.

GSMArena suggests the Galaxy S25 Plus will have the same 6.7-inch display and 4,900mAh battery as the Galaxy S24 Plus, both down slightly from the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 6.8-inch display and 5,000mAh battery.

Of course, this is all based on rumors: it will be up to Samsung to confirm the design and specs of the Galaxy S25 Plus in due time.

We expect the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus to be announced alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra in early 2025. Until then, stay up to date with all the latest news and updates via our Samsung Galaxy S25 hub.
