The Samsung Galaxy S23 phones were unveiled on February 1, 2023, but it’s looking increasingly likely that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will make an appearance earlier in 2024 – probably before the end of January.
According to seasoned tipster @UniverseelIjs on the Chinese social media site Weibo (via @Tech_Reve and Google Translate), the Galaxy S24 has now entered mass production, putting it on track for a “mid-to-late January” launch.
That said, sources speak SamMobile suggesting an “early to mid-January” launch is still a possibility, although “it could go either way.” Everyone seems to agree that January is the month, although the exact date has yet to be determined.
It’s certainly likely that there is still some uncertainty even within Samsung and a specific date for the launch has yet to be set. There will no doubt be another Samsung Unpacked event associated with it, and we’ll of course be covering it all live.

To start early
Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S24 launch date have been pretty thin so far, but January has been mentioned by a tipster before, so it’s almost certain that Samsung wants to release its flagship phones earlier than this year.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series was launched on February 9, 2022, while the Samsung Galaxy S21 series was unveiled on January 14, 2021. These launch dates are not as consistent as for the iPhone, for example, but they are always early in the year.
Even with a potential launch date just months away, rumors and leaks about the Galaxy S24 continue to appear regularly. In recent days we’ve heard updates about more RAM, better screens and satellite connectivity for these phones.
Another rumor we’ve heard is that Samsung will go back to using both its own Exynos chip and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Galaxy S24, so the performance you get from it may depend on where in the world you you happen to buy the form.
