The Rock swears AGAIN on live TV – despite WWE asking wrestlers not to – after he rubbished claims of ‘double standards’… with Cody Rhodes and CM Punk also yelling expletives

The Rock again swore on live TV, despite WWE asking their wrestlers not to do so.

The Hollywood star was involved in a bloody brawl with Cody Rhodes to close Monday night’s RAW show, effectively beating his rival in the rain, leaving him bleeding from his head and telling him: ‘This is what happens when you f** * with the final boss.’

The reintroduction of blood on WWE TV has fans wondering if the PG era – which has existed since 2008 – is coming to an end, with a number of wrestlers also swearing in recent weeks.

However, reports have emerged that WWE has essentially asked its wrestlers not to swear on TV – although that was an instruction that was clearly ignored on Monday.

The Rock led the way with the expletives, following both Rhodes – who labeled The Rock’s desired match with Roman Reigns a “w***fest” and CM Punk – who used the word “s***” – earlier in the show .

After returning to WWE on-screen early this year, The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, entered into a feud with Rhodes and will face his rival and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania alongside Reigns.

The original plan to pit The Rock against real-life cousin Reigns was met with stern reactions from fans, leading to WWE changing their plans and moving forward with the tag team match.

Reigns and Rhodes will then face off in a match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the second night of the event.

The Rock, who debuted in the WWE in 1996, meaning he has performed in four different decades, was also added to TKO’s board of directors earlier this year after acquiring the company in a merger with UFC.

He had previously dismissed reports that TKO had shown a desire for him to set an example for WWE’s guidelines for a TV-PG product.

SEScoops.com reported that a memo was sent to WWE stars informing them of their responsibility to adhere to PG guidelines on TV and social media.

It stated that some in the organization felt the fact that the returning star did not have to adhere to the same instructions was a double standard.

When Wrestlelamia shared a report from Wrestling Observer News suggesting this, Johnson responded, “This story is complete horse**t.”

‘Networks and ‘standards and practices’ have problems with my language, but I’d rather be real than not. I talk from the heart, shoot from the hip and always try to have fun,” Johnson also posted on Instagram.

According to Wrestling Observer Radiothe TV network FOX can bleep out his profanity because they get a copy of his script before SmackDown starts.

“The deal with TV is what they have to do: FOX gets the script ahead of time so they know when to beep.” said Meltzer. “The whole thing is that The Rock promo is completely scripted, but if it was someone else, he just wouldn’t be allowed to say it.

“With The Rock, it’s like he can say whatever he wants, but we know what he’s going to say and when he’s going to say it, so whatever they want to say, they’ll say it. And they know when to blow it off because they are told in advance.”
