Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson says he has been approached by political parties to run for office in the next US election.
The wrestler-turned-actor has previously spoken about the prospect of entering the political arena, and Dwayne has now revealed that he has already been approached by political parties about running for the White House.
During an appearance on the first episode of the podcast What Now? with Trevor Noah, Dwayne said: ‘At the end of the year in 2022 I was visited by the parties asking if I was going to run, and if I could run.’
In 2021, a poll found that nearly half of Americans would support Dwayne if he decided to run for president.
The 51-year-old actor – who dressed up as David Beckham for Halloween – has admitted he was flattered by the support and said he was ‘really honoured’ by the poll result.
