Jay Blades of the Repair Shop announced that his beloved uncle has been murdered.
The presenter, 54, took to Instagram on Tuesday where he revealed he had just attended the funeral following the death of his uncle a few weeks ago.
Jay did not reveal any details about the tragedy, but said he had to take time off his social media because the shock left him feeling “a little confused.”
The TV presenter said: ‘I hope you are doing well. This is a kind of public service announcement.
‘I just went to my uncle’s funeral, he was murdered a few weeks ago. Really, super nice guy, this shouldn’t have happened to him, but it really affected me.
‘I feel a little confused. So what I plan to do is this…I’ll leave social media for a while and come right back. I’m going to get some therapy and just relax.

Jay, who is best known for presenting BBC’s The Repair Shop, grew up in Hackney, East London with his mother and maternal half-brother.
