The REAL reason Britney Spears reunited with estranged mom Lynne: Singer is now planning WEEKLONG stay back home in Louisiana so she can spend time with her mother after they finally ‘healed their wounds’

Britney Spears' explosive memoir led to a shocking reunion between the pop star and her estranged mother Lynne – who 'apologized' to her daughter after reading her brutally honest account of her fraught relationship with her family.

The pair were pictured together on the couch as they celebrated the singer's 42nd birthday in LA this weekend, with insiders claiming things went so well, Britney is now they plan a trip back home to Kentwood, Louisiana, to further mend their broken relationship.

The mother-daughter duo finally 'healed their wounds' after Lynne reportedly 'apologized' to her daughter instead of trying to 'refute' her feelings following the release of Woman in Me.

“It was the book,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively about how their reunion came about. “Britney was able to express her feelings and Lynne didn't try to deny those feelings.

“Lynne took responsibility and apologized. This was a huge turning point.

The mother and daughter duo were pictured in sweet snaps shared on social media, with one image showing Britney holding her mother in her arms as she spun her through the air.

“Britney is now reunited with those in her family who mean the most to her… They have finally healed their wounds and are looking to the future with positivity.”

On Friday, Britney celebrated her birthday with an intimate private party hosted by her manager Cade Hudson at his Los Angeles home, marking the first time Lynne, 68, and her daughter have seen each other since attempting to mend their estranged bond in May. .

The event was attended by some close friends and family, including Britney's brother, Brian Spears, 46.

“This was a group effort from her inner circle, including Cade, her brother, close friends and of course Britney and Lynne,” the source continued.

“They were both ready and Britney wanted this. This was in no way a surprise to Britney.

'Everyone had a great time and there was a lot of dancing and laughing. Most importantly, Britney and Lynne were able to spend deep and meaningful time together.”

Photos showed Lynne stroking her daughter's hair as they lay on the couch together.

Another image, shared to hair colorist Baihly B's Instagram account, showed Britney lifting her mother into her arms.

According to a separate source, the two had such a positive experience that Britney is now discussing a possible trip home to Kentwood to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time.

“They were talking about having Britney come to Kentwood for a week or two so the two of her could spend time with her mother,” they said.

“Lynne wants this to happen, and so do the people around Britney. It will probably be a mission to make this happen without people finding out, but they really want this. It will be so good for both of them.”

They added that Lynne is “over the moon” and feels “blessed” to have been able to show her daughter “how much she loves her on her birthday.”

Their reunion comes six months after Lynne flew to LA to meet Britney. The two talked for hours, but their reconciliation seemed short-lived.

When Britney's now estranged husband Sam Asghari, 29, filed for divorce from the singer in August, Lynne was nowhere to be found and didn't rush to LA to comfort her.

Their feud began after the pop star claimed Lynne had failed to free her from the 13-year conservatorship she was placed under in 2008, which was controlled by Britney's father Jamie Spears, 74, who recently had his leg amputated.

In 2022, Britney claimed that her mother was the driving force behind her father.

During the night, Britney and Cade were also spotted stopping at a gas station mini-mart to pick up a few snacks.

“A woman introduced the idea to my dad, and my mom actually helped him follow through and make it all happen,” Britney said in a now-deleted video on YouTube.

'It was all set up, really. There were no drugs in my system. No alcohol. No nothing. It was pure abuse.”

In her memoir, she revealed that she felt like her family was trying to “kill” her when she returned home after a stint in rehab.

“It crossed my mind that they were only visiting to finish what they started a few months earlier, to actually kill me,” she wrote. “If that sounds paranoid, think of all the things I've been through so far – the ways they had deceived and institutionalized me.”

She also claimed that her mother threw away her childhood dolls and diaries from her bedroom in the $10 million mansion she built for Lynne in 2000.

DailyMail.com also reported that Lynne sold some of her daughter's belongings, including clothes, at a local consignment shop in Kentwood to make ends meet.

However, Lynne subsequently denied selling Britney's things and said she wouldn't be so “cruel” to her daughter.

In response to Lynne's denial, Britney claimed on Instagram that during a more recent visit home, she found several dolls that had previously disappeared:

She took their appearance as proof that her mother had returned or replaced them, although it was too late to be of any use to her.

Britney had previously said in her memoir that she believed her family saw her as little more than a “cash flow” to fund their lavish lifestyle.

According to court documents, Lynne filed a petition in November 2021 requesting that Britney's estate pay the $660,000 legal bill for her conservatorship attorneys.

But in April 2022, Britney's own attorney Mathew Rosengart argued in court against that petition, stating that “there is no legal authority” supporting Lynne's claims that she should be able to collect money from her daughter's estate.

Court documents show that Rosengart further alleged that Britney had spent approximately $1.7 million on her mother over the years, claiming that Lynne had “lived in a large, sprawling house owned by Britney for at least ten years.” , who – he said – also “paid Lynne Spears' utilities, telephone services, insurance, property taxes, landscaping, pool work, pest control, repairs and maintenance.”

Legal paperwork obtained by The Blast in October of that same year revealed that Lynne had withdrawn her $660,000 claim.

In Lynne's 2008 autobiography, Through the Storm, she said she blamed herself for Britney's downfall.

'What did she need me for when her life was such a success? And when the situation worsened, I was out, because other people – dancers, managers – were closer to her, with her day and night,” Lynne wrote.

'As a mother you can't help but regret what you have and haven't done for your children, and I am no different.'
