From see-through outfits to a very amorous boat trip in Venice – Kanye West and his ‘wife’ Bianca Censori have caused quite a stir during their summer vacation in Italy.
And insiders have now claimed that the couple’s eye-catching antics are actually part of a publicity stunt to promote West’s “upcoming” new album.
The American rapper, 46, is reportedly planning a career ‘comeback’ with the support of Australian architect Censori, 28, after a spectacular fall from grace following his 2022 anti-Semitism scandal.
“He’s been cooking in the studio all summer,” said a source Page six. “It sounds crazy.”
NBC news reported that West and Censori had quietly confirmed that “new music is imminent” after inviting a source to the recording studio to listen to the album.

The new release is rumored to be West’s first album since Donda 2, which was made available exclusively on his $214.50 Stem Player in February 2022, rather than using traditional streaming platforms or CDs/records.
West hasn’t released any new solo music since he released and then deleted Censori Overload on January 7, a song dedicated to his new lover.
Furthermore, other sources claim that West and Censori in Italy have attracted attention in preparation for the launch of a new Yeezy fashion collection.

“They’re really enjoying traveling right now and Kanye is very inspired,” a source said American Weekly. “He says he designs, writes music and gets inspired.”
Censori apparently helped West with his designs.
“They both think their fashion will be a culture change. Kanye feels like he’s on the cusp of a big comeback,” the source said.
The couple has certainly been in the spotlight in recent weeks, with the Italian populace outraged over Censori wearing see-through mesh outfits that exposed her breasts.S.

Italians have taken to social media to label the Kim Kardashian lookalike’s outfits as “disrespectful,” with some saying the “immodest” duo were not welcome in a country known for its conservative Catholic heritage.
Others have described the couple’s images as “disturbing,” and have even speculated that the Yeezy designer has taken charge of Censori’s appearance.
They made the news again last Monday after West exposed his naked buttocks to staring tourists during a boat trip with his would-be bride.

Critics argued that the act constituted “public indecency” – a charge that Italy’s Constitutional Court says carries a fine of up to €309 (AU$520).
However, some PR experts argue that publicity stunts are just what West should be doing to relaunch his brand.
“It’s an excellent publicity stunt and is already generating worldwide media attention for both of them, which can only lead to attention,” says a well-known agent. Max Markson told Daily Mail Australia.

Markson claimed that West will ‘certainly’ enjoy a successful comeback as a result of his antics in Italy, adding: ‘He is already one of the hottest personalities in the world and the future will continue for him whatever he wants doing.’
So is branding expert and InsideOut PR CEO Nicole Reaney describes West and Censori’s controversial boat ride as a “PR masterpiece.”
“It has generated media coverage around the world, giving them more profile and a story about their personality,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
“It’s an excellent publicity stunt and is already generating global media attention for both of them, which can only lead to attention,” celebrity agent Max Markson told Daily Mail Australia exclusively. (West and Censori are due May 13 in Los Angeles)
Reaney also credits Censori with “softening” West’s image while making him shine more than when he was married to Kim Kardashian.
“When (West) was with Kim Kardashian, Kim was the center of publicity,” she explained.
“As an Australian architect, Bianca brings a completely different dimension and influence to Kanye,” she added.
However, other pundits have cast doubt on whether West’s latest controversies can really help revive his brand.

“If this is all for PR, then there are certainly other ways you can secure press coverage without flouting local laws,” says Adrian Falk, the founder of Believe advertising and PRtold Daily Mail Australia.
“It’s not a strategy I would definitely recommend to my international celebrity clients,” he added.
Prior to his appearances with Censori, West largely stayed out of the limelight after a series of controversies.
These scandals include his decision to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt, tweet that he was going to use “death con 3 on Jewish people,” and praise Adolf Hitler.
West’s anti-Semitic remarks were condemned by the Anti-Defamation League, and he was promptly dropped by his agency CAA, production company MRC, Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga.
West and Censori first got into a romantic relationship in January 2023, just months after his divorce was finalized.

The couple married in January in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills. However, the legality of the union is in question as they have not filed a marriage certificate.
Kardashian previously filed for divorce in February 2021 after six years of marriage.
