The REAL amount of alcohol Love Island stars are allowed to drink in the villa
Every year, Love Island viewers watch bachelors engage in fiery fights, romantic dates, and dramatic fireside reconnections, often with drinks in hand.
It could be misunderstood that the islanders get seriously drunk every night, with multiple villa parties and daring late-night conversations.
But contestants have limited their alcohol intake during their time on the show, to ensure that what they say and do isn’t fueled by booze.
The castmates are not given enough alcohol to get drunk, while all food and drink in the villa is purchased by the show’s producers and closely monitored.
So what is the actual amount of alcohol Love Island stars are allowed to drink in the villa?

The islanders are only allowed one to two drinks per night.
Liana Isadora Van-Riel, 2016 contestant, previously told The Sun: “You can have one or two drinks a night, wine or beer, no hard liquor.”
Laura Anderson, who starred in the 2018 series, previously told The Mirror that it occasionally included “one or two” bottles of prosecco, but insisted: “You’ll be lucky if you get half a glass of that !’
Eyal Booker, who co-starred with Laure, supported her memory, telling Closer magazine, “It was very, very limited. Max two glasses of wine per evening and that’s max!’
Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill speculated that the rule was dropped in 2021, when she tweeted, “They’re giving these islanders more than two drinks, I swear!”
Most recently, Olivia Attwood, who starred in the iconic 2017 series Love Island, spoke about drinking in the villa on the popular podcast Call her daddy.
Olivia explained about the limits of drinking: “The reason is the show is about dating and about love.
“They don’t want people to do alcohol-driven things and wake up the next day and say, ‘Oh, I actually don’t like him, the reason I kissed him is because I was drunk.'” It’s not like that. of tones.
Small amounts only: The castmates aren’t given enough alcohol to get drunk, with all food and drink in the villa bought by the show’s producers and closely monitored
‘It wouldn’t make sense. They want people to kiss and get into bed together because they want to, not because they’re drunk.”
Olivia also revealed that she almost got a written warning from show producers for constantly battling the strict rules around drinking alcohol.
She said, “I questioned them about it every day to the point where they said, ‘If you ask again, you’ll get a written warning.'” That’s what I was told at the beach hut because I argued about it every day.’
In retrospect, however, Olivia admitted that she’s okay with limiting her alcohol consumption during her series because they were “all crazy.”
Elsewhere on the podcast, Olivia recalled the night she got into a blazing argument with her co-star Montana Brown at the villa.
She insisted, “I hadn’t even finished my drink and then I went out and the producer said, ‘You’re not getting anything tonight!'” I was like, “Oh you’re kidding!”
“I swear I was sober, can you imagine we were drunk? It would be some kind of fight club.’
