The Rabbids could be coming to XDefiant – yes, you read that right
A series of leaks have indicated that a wide variety of new factions are planned XChallenging, a free-to-play arena released by Ubisoft last month. This includes content inspired by the Assassin’s Creed series, Far Cry new dawnand, perhaps most surprising of all, the Rabbits franchise.
As noted by KotakuThe information comes from X/Twitter user ‘Rogue Tx’ who claims it was discovered through data mining. They say the first four factions coming to the game will be the Assassins Assassin’s Creedoperators of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint,GSG9 off Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siegeand The Highwaymen Far Cry new dawn.
Ubisoft previously confirmed that four new factions will be released in the coming year. Elsewhere, the user has reportedly found references to factions based on The crew And Rabbits in the game code. While one of several criminal groups from The crew could certainly work well in that regard XChallenging is a gritty first-person shooter (FPS), I’m definitely curious how a representation of the crazy bunny mascots would fit into the universe.
The leak also hints at some new weapons that may be coming to the game. This includes a new sawed-off shotgun, a Thompson submachine gun, a FAMAS, a FAL, a Bison submachine gun, and the G36 rifle. There are also suggestions for two new sniper rifles: the L115 and the LVOA, which are believed to be versions of the Accuracy International AWM and LVOA-C AR-15, respectively. Capabilities such as deployable barbed wire and a remote-controlled car, in addition to a new capture the flag game mode, have also reportedly been found.
Images showing this unreleased content have reportedly been hit with DMCA takedown notices from Ubisoft, which could indicate they are legitimate. Ubisoft has not responded to Ny Breaking Gaming’s request for comment on the leaks at this time.
