The Project’s Sarah Harris gushes about “sexy” French soccer coach Hervé Renard: “I don’t mean to objectify the guy…but phwoar!”

Like many Australians, television presenter Sarah Harris was glued to Saturday night’s match between Australia’s Matildas and France in the Women’s World Cup.

While most were celebrating the Aussie soccer team’s epic win, 42-year-old Sarah was busy coveting French coach Hervé Renard.

On The Sunday Project this weekend, Sarah waxed lyrical about why the 54-year-old Frenchman is so attractive.

“I don’t mean to objectify the man… but damn it!” she gushed.

“It’s the jawline, the tan, the hair, the shirt so unbuttoned. There’s a sense of arrogance about him that just seems so… sexy’.

Sarah said it was soothing to watch Hervé in action during the game when the scores weren’t going in the Australian team’s right direction.

“Every time they cut him when France was doing really well, it was a little salve,” she said.

“Do you want us to leave you alone with this vision?” her co-star Hamish Macdonald asked with a laugh, referring to the footage of Hervé the show had just aired.

“Yes, I’d like to add it to my personal file,” Sarah joked.

“They have said that they will take revenge at the Paris Olympics and that they are waiting for us. That looks sexy to me,” she joked cheekily.

The Matildas reach the semi-finals of the Women’s World Cup for the first time after beating France on Saturday.

Mackenzie Arnold made three saves before Cortnee, 25, converted the winning penalty to win the quarterfinals in the longest ever shootout in tournament history in front of 49,461 screaming fans at Suncorp Stadium.

Matildas goalkeeper Mackenzie, 29, was named player of the match after her heroics in the penalty shootout to make three saves.

It was the third straight game the Matildas held to a draw and their 13th win in 15 games.
