“It’s a new cast and we’re all looking forward to creating something new and energetic that I think people will really respond to,” Sam said.
Michael jokingly added: ‘Honestly, I’m so excited to be joining Lisa, Pete and Carrie on The Project and I look forward to working with some of the biggest names in television! Wait what?’
Speculation continues that The Project may be preparing to say goodbye to two more panelists.

Last month, Channel 10 announced that Studio 10 co-host Sarah Harris will join The Project to replace Carrie Bickmore.
In the official press release to confirm Sarah’s place on the show, two long-time panelists were conspicuously absent.
Tommy Little and Steve Price were not mentioned in the announcement, while Hamish Blake, Waleed Aly and Georgie Tunny were confirmed to return.

The Project has been rocked by several high-profile departures in recent months.
Lisa Wilkinson announced last month that she was resigning with immediate effect, and presenter Carrie confirmed her exit in October.
The embattled TV host Wilkinson, 62, made the shocking admission at the end of one episode, leaving viewers stunned.
“I’ve decided it’s time to re-prioritize some things in my life,” the TV veteran began alongside co-hosts Hamish Macdonald and Laura Byrne of The Bachelor.
“And after nearly 15 years of the early warning of breakfast TV, and now another five years here at The Project’s desk, I’m looking at how I want the next few years to play out both professionally and personally.

Peter also announced that he was leaving The Project last month, explaining that he decided to quit following the departure of his co-host Carrie.
‘Carrie, you recently said that you’re glad to be leaving The Project while you still love it and I still love the show. I really do,” she explained.
‘The Project means a lot to me. He has done amazing things for me. I once interviewed Luke Skywalker… and I look forward to seeing what the show will be in the future.
Meanwhile, Carrie left Channel 10 entirely after calling it quits last month.
