The Playboy Mansion chef says Hugh Hefner ate the same meal every day for four years

A Playboy Mansion chef has claimed that founder Hugh Hefner ate the same meal every day for four years.

While this might disgust some foodies, others might say that eating the same foods every day is genius.

After working as head chef for Hugh Hefner before passing away in 2017, JJ Reinhart revealed what went on behind the kitchen – which worked 24 hours a day, seven days a week

And while the Playboy mansion is better known for its models and wild parties than it is for its five-star dining and top-notch chefs, it turns out that behind its walls lies an amazingly sophisticated kitchen.

So here’s exactly what the Playboy mogul loved to eat…

Hugh Hefner liked things prepared in a very specific way, his chef claims, recalling the time Mr. Hefner asked the chef to cut a sandwich in a specific way

Mr. Reinhart revealed that he started in the kitchen in 2002 as a trainee in his early twenties.

But pretty quickly he rose through the ranks to become Chef de Cuisine in the house run by Hefner.

He was one of nine chefs who worked full-time at the mansion, cooking anything and everything for guests. They also catered for the founder’s private lunches, large dinner parties or extravagant and flamboyant parties.

And during his eight years at the mansion, Chef Reinhart became familiar with Mr. Hefner’s eating habits and favorite dishes.

Despite the Playboy founder’s wealth, Mr. Reinhart has revealed that Mr. Hefner was happy to have simple dishes made for him.

He chose his meals from a ‘standard menu’ of just 26 items, UniLad has revealed.

The chef recalled that the mogul had the same meal for breakfast every day for at least years.

And for those so eager to know what it is, Mr. Reinhart revealed it was a “very, very simple English muffin.”

That was until one day Mr. Hefner asked if he wanted scrambled eggs on top.

Mr. Reinhart opened up about this sudden change and said, ‘I’m like, okay, you’ve been eating the same thing for four years, and now you want to, okay, that’s fine.

“So let’s make some scrambled eggs.”

The chef added that this change of mind was unusual in Playboy cuisine because the items on Mr. Hefner’s menu were not “very extravagant.”

He also revealed that the former editor-in-chief liked things prepared in a very specific way, recalling the time Mr. Henfer asked the chef to cut a sandwich in a specific way.

Mr Reinhart also revealed that the mogul was a very ‘private eater’ who had his meals delivered to his bedroom.

However, Thanksgiving was the only time he ate in front of others at the mansion.

And even when he went out, Hef still ate a home-cooked meal.

Mr. Reinhart said: ‘When he went out to eat, we prepared his food for him and sent it along.

“And when he showed up at a restaurant, a big paper bag went straight into the kitchen with specific instructions on how to prepare his meal, how to serve his meal.”

The seasoned chef added that he really enjoyed working for Mr. Hefner and didn’t mind his requests. us to do this for him.’
