The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond’s daughter Alex reveals she’s expecting first child with husband Mauricio Scott: ‘We can’t wait to meet you, little one’
After being the mother of five children, the eldest of Ree Drummonds Brood confirmed that she and husband Mauricio Scott are expecting their first child together.
The upcoming bundle of joy will be the first grandchild for The Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman and her husband Ladd Drummond.
“We can’t wait to meet you, little one. Baby Scott is coming to the party this winter!’ the happy couple wrote in the caption of their joint Instagram post on Sunday, June 23.
The cover photo showed the Scotts with their arms around each other, while the mom-to-be held ultrasound photos of baby Scott.
“Thank you Lord for this precious gift,” the overjoyed couple added, alongside photos of the couple posing with their dog, wearing a bandana that reads “Big Brother,” as they hold up ultrasound photos and grin at each other . “Thank you Lord for this precious gift.”

Alex and Mauricio Scott’s pregnancy will mark the Food Network star’s first grandchild
As animal lovers, the couple also shared a few photos of their beloved dog George, who wears a bandana around his neck that reads, “big brother.”
Alex’s sister Paige also chimed in, writing, “So happy I could cry. I can’t wait to be an aunt!!! I love you guys so much.”
Overjoyed with the news, Ree Drummond, 55, took to the comments section and wrote: ‘Extremely happy for you two!! (And for the whole family!) I love you, Alex and Mauricio!’
The blogger, author and television personality then shared the news The Pioneer Woman website.
‘Yes it’s true! Alex and Mauricio are expecting – and I don’t mean a puppy, although I wouldn’t put it past them (or me) to treat news of an impending new puppy in exactly the same way as a pregnancy announcement,” Ree shared on her blog.
“My first baby is having her first baby. My kid is going to have a kid,” the Bartlesville, Oklahoma native continued. “It’s surreal, and I’m sure all of you grandparents can relate to the feeling of leaving your body for a moment after hearing similar news.”
The couple, who met during their freshman year at Texas A&M University, married in May 2021 at the Drummond Ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
The happy couple had previously revealed in early 2022 that they were in no rush to become parents and that they were “taking their time, not rushing and trying to enjoy the marriage for a while.”

The couple, who met during their freshman year at Texas A&M University, married in May 2021 at the Drummond Ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Just over two years later, the couple has apparently had all the time they needed before deciding to grow their family, although George the Golden Retriever was adopted into the family.
Ree became a mother for the first time in 1997, a year after tying the knot with husband Ladd Drummond, with the arrival of Alex, 26.
The couple would welcome three more children into the world within a four-year span, including daughter Paige, 24, sons Bryce, 21, Todd, 20.
Fast forward to 2018, and the family grew again with the addition of a foster son, Jamar, 21.

“After living in our house for a year and a half, he is an integral part of our crazy family,” Ree shared in The Pioneer Woman in November 2020.
Drummond became known for her blog, The Pioneer Woman, which documented her life in rural Oklahoma.
Building on the success of her blog, starting in 2011 she starred in her own television show, of the same name, on The Food Network.
The foodie has also written cookbooks, a children’s book and an autobiography, while in 2015 he launched a ‘homey lifestyle’ product line of cookware, cutlery, appliances, clothing and outdoor living products.
