The Palworld update fixes a breeding issue that left some Pals permanently stuck with nerfs
Palworld players, be happy. A new update has removed a bug introduced in the previous patch that caused Pals obtained through breeding to be stuck with negative passive abilities that players could previously exploit.
In case you didn’t know, PalworldThe game’s collectible creatures, Pals, all have certain passive abilities that cannot be changed. These range from useful improvements such as speed boosts to negative effects such as decreases in attacks and defense. Obviously, having a friend with permanent nerfs to his passive abilities is far from ideal, and even worse, so are certain friends, like the adorable feline creature Cattiva. always caught with specific negative passives. For example, all captured Cattivas have the Coward trait, which reduces their attack by 10 percent.
It is possible to breed Pals to get rid of these fixed passive traits, but a patch rolled out earlier this week stopped this feature from working. Luckily for those desperate for a Relaxaurus that doesn’t get hungry faster than it should, version v0.1.5.1 is now available on Steam (and coming soon on Xbox Series|S and Xbox One) which solves the problem.
The patch notes confirm that, in addition to “several game crashes,” the update “fixed a bug where breeding friends always had fixed passives.” Other notable changes include fixes for a bug that prevented defeating the boss of any dungeon from opening the inner dungeon door, and a separate issue where trying to change a friend’s name actually did nothing .
