The Ozempic gala! Plastic surgeons reveal who they thought looked suspiciously thinner than normal

Kim Kardashian’s ultra-thin waist may have stolen the headlines when it came to dramatic body changes at last night’s Met Gala.

But a leading cosmetic surgeon has told DailyMail.com that a number of other celebrities also looked thinner and skinnier than normal.

Social media users began calling the Gala the “Ozempic Olympics” and began exchanging theories about who had used the drug as a weight-loss aid.

Dr. Gary Motykie, a board-certified plastic surgeon in LA, revealed the four celebrities who may have used the drug in the lead-up to the event.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez is known as a renowned beauty with a strong jawline and prominent cheekbones.

But fans raised concerns about the 54-year-old last night after some said she stepped out looking ‘thin’ and ‘very thin’.

Dr. Motykie said it was possible her more ‘hollow’ appearance was due to Ozempic weight loss. Although it could also be due to standard weight loss.

“I think a lot of these celebrities are under pressure to perform for these big events,” he said, “so I think she’s a little bit suspicious because she’s involved with Ozempic.”

JLo was first hit with speculation last month that she might be using Ozempic after posting a photo online of herself in a form-fitting white dress.

Fans commented under the post saying: ‘Are you losing weight?’ and ‘How did she lose weight so quickly?’.

It comes after her husband Ben Affleck was also hit by speculation that he had used Botox and fillers to make himself look younger.

Sources admitted he had Botox and said he was “sick of” looking older and tired.

Lana del Rey

Pop singer and ‘Queen of Sadcore’ Lana del Rey has seen her weight fluctuate over the years.

But many fans are speculating that her recent weight loss, which took place in less than a year, may be due to Ozempic.

Dr. Motykie said he was “much more suspicious” that the star had taken the weight-loss drug compared to others at the Gala because her change was so rapid.

He also suggested that she may have had an ‘Ozempic face’, but then used fillers to restore some of the lost volume and look more youthful.

“What often happens is that people lose weight on these medications and then think they look thin,” he said. ‘Then the fillers come in.’

‘Overall the results look very natural and look great. If you’re going to mess around, she’ll do it the right way.”

Some viewers also pointed to the loss of volume in her facial features as a sign that she had been using Ozempic.

One viewer said, “I don’t know what version of Ozempic Lana del Rey has, but GIVE IT TO ME,” while a second added, “I really need Ozempic.”

Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel (2024, left, and in 2023, right) may have used Ozempic, surgeons suggested, pointing to her smaller waist and the prominent bones in her neck and on her shoulders

Actress Jessica Biel says she bathed in 20 pounds of Epsom salts to lose enough water weight to put on her Met Gala dress.

But plastic surgeons have suggested that she may have also gotten a helping hand from Ozempic – to get the slimmer figure.

They pointed to her smaller waist as possible evidence that she had lost weight, compared to her last appearance at the Gala in 2013.

But surgeons said she has also always been ‘quite thin’ and in ‘good shape’, with Dr Motykie saying the strengthening of her arms indicates she is exercising.

“Soaking in Epsom salts would take some water weight off you, but you won’t shrink into a dress,” he said, “because you’re just putting the water weight back on.”

‘So that makes me a little suspicious (about Ozempic use), but I also have doubts: she’s always been quite thin and in pretty good shape.’

It was also suggested that she had used filler to add volume to her face and make herself look younger.

Dr. Motykie also pointed to her neck, which appeared more sunken, which could indicate weight loss.

Epsom salts can help a person reduce their waistline slightly by helping to draw fluid from the body.

But many doctors advise against using them for this purpose, saying they can cause dehydration, which can lead to multiple complications.

Kim Kardashian

The 43-year-old star’s waist appeared to have shrunk again at last night’s Met Gala after she emerged in an even slimmer dress.

When she looked at her photos, Dr. Motykie immediately said, “Ozempic waist!”

“Her waist looks thinner than we’ve seen before,” he told DailyMail.com.

“Semaglutide like Ozempic can be an easy way to lose weight for a specific event, like the Met Gala.”

This isn’t the first time Kim has faced Ozempic accusations over the Met Gala, having also been accused of using the drug to sneak into Marilyn Monroe’s dress in 2022.

To fit into the garment, Kim revealed she lost 16 pounds in three weeks.

She claimed this was achieved by avoiding carbohydrates and eating only vegetables and protein, running on a treadmill and wearing a sauna suit twice a day.
