But the famously funny woman, 43, may have pushed the boundaries a little too far while hosting the 2024 AACTA Awards on the Gold Coast on Saturday.

She first joked that the AACTAs would be the only awards show that would serve “boxed wine.”

‘It will also be the only one where people get into trouble and throw a spit in the bag. “I love Queensland… It’s like Jetstar was a state,” she said.

The supernatural hit Talk To Me won the most major awards at the 2024 AACTA Awards.

The film won Best Picture, Best Director for brothers Danny and Michael Philippo, and Best Actress for Sophie Wilde.

Several other trophies had already been taken home, which were announced prior to the main ceremony.

Talk to Me cleaned up on Thursday, winning Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Screenplay, Best Sound and Best Hair and Makeup for a total of eight wins.

The chilling film has been an international hit since its release last year, grossing over $92 million on a budget of just $4.5 million.

Meanwhile, a beaming Margot Robbie was all smiles as she took home the prestigious Trailblazer Award.
