The OnePlus 13 will launch in China before the end of the month, with global availability expected early next year, and there’s now an official photo of the phone on the pre-order page – although that doesn’t really show us all that much .
As noted by Notebook controlwhere you can go now the Oppo website to see for yourself (Oppo and OnePlus merged in 2021). If you live in China, you can also provide your name for one of these handsets.
One of the images on the page offers the subtlest of hints about the OnePlus 13’s appearance and design: you can just make out the power and volume buttons on the side, and the large circular camera module on the back.
As you can see in our OnePlus 12 review, the rear camera design seems similar to the current model, although this time it looks like there’s a thin band of color running across the back of the body too.
Previous leaks
The text on the teaser image and pre-order page doesn’t give us many details – as far as we can tell via Google Translate anyway – but OnePlus is promising professional levels of performance from this upcoming device.
We’ve already heard a lot about the successor to the OnePlus 12, and a few days ago there was a possible sighting when Qualcomm shared a promotional video for the upcoming launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
That chipset will almost certainly power the OnePlus 13 when it arrives. There’s also talk of a redesigned, curved display and a significant boost in terms of battery capacity, from reliable tipsters.
There’s also the suggestion that OnePlus itself previously posted a photo of the OnePlus 13 when announcing upgrades to its display technology – although the phone wasn’t specifically identified in the shot, so we can’t know for sure.
