The One Show is forced to pull off air for an entire WEEK due to major BBC scheduling shake-up

The One Show has not been broadcast for a whole week due to a major change in BBC programming.

Bosses had to cancel five shows to make room for Wimbledon coverage, which started on Monday.

Presenters Alex Jones, Jermaine Jenas and Roman Kemp will not receive a broadcast of the BBC show for a week, because it will be taken off the air.

TV presenters Clare Balding, Qasa Alom and Isa Guha will be covering the two-week tournament.

Isa will lead the morning presentations and will hand over to experienced broadcaster Clare, 53, in the afternoon.

Qasa hosts the nightly highlights show on BBC Two, providing an overview of the tournament on the day.

As Wimbledon kicked off this morning, stars flocked to the court to watch the first match of the tournament.

David Beckham joined his mother Sandra as they sat next to David Attenborough in the stands at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in south-west London.

Fashionable stars from Pixie Lott, Lucy Boynton, Katherine Jenkins and Myleene Klass all slipped into classic white Wimbledon ensembles as they attended the first day.

Last week, The One Show was thrown into chaos when Stacey Dooley walked off set during a live show.

The 37-year-old documentary filmmaker had to rush away from the interview to head to her West End performance 40 minutes later in A Ghost Story (2:22).

The Strictly Come Dancing star spoke to presenters Roman and Alex about her new role on the show as Jenny and her new podcast Famously…On Trial.

But during her conversation, Roman had to interrupt her as he was told she had to leave the interview and travel to the theater by motorcycle as quickly as possible.

Under pressure, Roman said, “We actually can’t hold you for long. In fact, I’m now told that you will be on stage in about forty minutes and that you have a motorcycle.’

“How showbiz Roman!” Stacey laughed.

Roman joked, “Well, actually we should unleash this on you [brings out motorbike helmet]’

Stacey added: ‘It was so lovely meeting you, thank you so much. Right! See you soon, gang,’ before rushing off the set.

“Break a leg!” joked Alex Jones.
