The NYC club is seeking more sophisticated clientele after complaints of “mafia-like” men and half-naked girls

A private club in New York City wants to upgrade its clientele after complaints come in about gangsters and half-naked girls looking for sugar daddies.

Casa Cipriani, the members-only club often frequented by celebrities like Leonardo De Caprio, is keen to attract a more sophisticated crowd as news circulates about the presence of members from questionable backgrounds, sources say.

“They’re trying to get a better audience because everyone is complaining that there’s a bunch (mafia types) and… young girls running around practically naked,” a source told Page Six.

Another source described members as “girls looking for sugar daddies.”

Located in lower Manhattan in the iconic Battery Maritime Building, the club still has a long waiting list of 4,000 people. But a source said “they’re looking for a cooler clientele, like art world folks… more high-profile.”

A spokesperson for the exclusive club argued that the rumors likely stem from an embittered applicant who was rejected by the club

“They’re really trying to clean it up because right now it’s getting a little messy.”

A spokesman for the exclusive club argued that the rumors likely originated with an embittered applicant who was rejected by the club.

“We pride ourselves on the privacy of our community and do not comment on false allegations,” a spokesperson told Page Six.

The spokesperson added: “Sounds like someone who is angry that they can’t get in…as the reality is we’ve had more and more interest from the arts and entertainment world.”

Casa Cipriani, according to their website, is described as a “true private members’ club in the modern sense,” bringing together “an eclectic community of people who enjoy life’s simple pleasures.”

An industry insider suggested a possible solution: “Hire an Amy Sacco. That’s who they need if they want to change the public,” referring to a restaurateur behind one of New York’s formerly most notable nightlife destinations, Bungalow 8.”

The hot spot is also rumored to have lost one of its most famous members, Taylor Swift, earlier this month.

Swift reportedly canceled her membership after other guests took pictures of her on a date with Matty Healy in May.

However, the club denied that Swift had declined membership, admitting that “Casa Cipriani had withdrawn membership from some members for violating our club rules.”

Casa Cipriani revoked at least three memberships after excited guests snapped photos of Taylor Swift with her new boyfriend Matt Healy at the swanky club, despite the venue having a no-picture policy.

The pair caused a stir when they strolled into the $4,000-a-year private club in New York City in May, just days after the bad boy rocker was spotted performing at one of Taylor’s Eras Tour concerts.

Photos appeared online after the date, prompting the club to send a memo to its members reiterating its no-photography policy.

“At least three members have been kicked out for taking pictures of Taylor,” a source says. “There is no image policy. Their membership has been revoked.’

“It has come to our attention that images have been taken at the club in recent days which have infringed on the privacy of our members,” the memo reads.

“It is important to note that any member violating this policy will have their membership revoked immediately.”

The source pointed out that “Taylor knew the policy and then had to leave,” because of the raving fans.

They added that it wasn’t even a member who took the photo, but that it was their guest: “And their membership was revoked after all.”

The couple’s romantic outing, where they were seen “kissing” and holding hands, came just days after Healy was seen clapping and twirling while attending the most recent performance on Taylor’s Eras Tour.
