The next set of Teamfight Tactics is a magical confrontation with new spells

The next set for Team Fight Tactics is focused on the magical side of League of Legends‘huge cast. In the new Magic n’ Mayhem set, Team Fight Tactics will be visually transformed into the “Magitorium”, a huge castle where mages, sorcerers and various magical folk gather to test their skills. Magic n’ Mayhem will be released for free on July 31st, along with an accompanying battle pass.

As usual a new set for Team Fight Tactics comes with new champions, traits, mechanics, augments, and more. Magic n’ Mayhem introduces a new mechanic called Charms, which are one-time spells that can turn the tide of battle. Charms appear in every other store and replace a unit slot. There are over 100 Charms, meant to express a wide variety of different types of magic – wealth, combat power, or disruptions on the battlefield. There are also a lot of new Augments in the set, which should shake up rounds considerably.

The champions in Magic n’ Mayhem come from the various magical skin lines of League of Legends – Arcane, Coven, Winterblessed, Faerie Court, and even Cafe Cuties. One notable champion is a duo: Norra and Yuumi. While Yuumi is available in League of Legends As a support champion, Norra has only been in the card game Legends of RuneterraIt’s fun to see her appear in other Riot films.

The new set also includes new cosmetics, some of which are available on the accompanying battle pass. This includes a few new Tacticians, little characters that hang around the battlefield during matches. Some of them are cute little creatures, and others are chibi forms of League of Legends champions. There are also arena skins, if you want to play on a more beautiful battlefield.

Riot is also working on multi-sets, which will allow players to plan compositions for multiple sets if more than one is available at once, and cosmetic loadouts that will allow players to easily switch between cosmetic items.
