The New York City apartment of the late ABC World News Tonight host Peter Jennings is coming on the market for an asking price of $10.45 million.
The cooperativewhich is being sold by Kayce Freed Jennings, Jennings’ widow, features three bedrooms, five baths and a large wood paneled kitchen.
The Upper West Side home overlooking Central Park was purchased by Jennings in the 1990s, after which he extensively renovated the unit.
Freed Jennings said that while her late husband began the renovations on his own, she helped finish them. The couple married in 1997 and lived together in the apartment until Jennings passed away from lung cancer in 2005.
Freed Jennings said she lived in the unit full-time for about 25 years, but is selling it because she wants to downsize.

Freed Jennings said the apartment is exceptionally well designed for entertaining and has been the site of many book parties and non-profit events over the years.
“The apartment is really well designed for that,” she told the Wall Street Journal of the classic 9-bedroom apartment, adding that it would be hard to part with the sunlight and stunning park views.
The apartment has an unobstructed view of the lush green treetops of Central Park from the south. It is also steps away from ABC’s Upper West Side headquarters, where Jennings worked for many years.
